Hanging around for the year-end bonus, and not exactly gone; " Parker will remain with the company as executive chairman and lead its board of directors."

Same day that Under Armour CEO, Kevin Plank announced stepping down at the end of the year.
Word on the street is that Mark Parker has stepped down as CEO at Nike.

Imagine bringing a cute girl for coffee and Salazar being your waitress
KARA WAS RIGHT... Justice was COMING!!!
They should replace him with Trey Parker
Despite what many on LRC want to fantasize about, Nike isn't burning. Parker hinted at retirement as CEO a few years ago but, the board convinced him to stay on. He remains Chairman of the Board. Nike stock is performing very well. Sales are up. Campus additions are still being built. No one outside of running geek circles is concerned about Salazar/NOP.
Umm I thought Nike was DOA when Trumpledorf said he hated them like a year ago. Why didn't the company tank then?
you really believe that what happens at one training group in a small fry sport like athletics is going to influence the way Nike operates?
Nike is only even involved in athletics as a charitable gesture cause thats where it started.
the majority of people out there wouldnt even know who Salazar and Parker are, let alone care.
Merged two thread on this
Do you know how much money they make selling running shoes? Do your own homework
merged and purged

And how many of them are sold to people who actually run?
I've seen more people wearing Epic Reacts as street wear shoes than I have running in them.
He's out as predicted by many, because he was involved with Salazar's shenanigans. When corporate honchos who know a lot are pushed out, it's usually to a very lucrative sinecure like this one.

Just to echo your thoughts.
Nike is firing on all cylinders, stock at an all time high just recently, Parker could be said the best CEO in Nike’s history. Succession planning for his role has been in the works for some time, a current board member takes his role, pretty seamless transition.
NOP has nothing to do with anything outside the immediate small circles of the running world.
Shalene retires, Parker resigns.... make the connection.
