I ran my first 10 mile race on Sunday and I have a half coming up on Thanksgiving. I'm wondering if I should keep building my mileage up over the next few weeks and just treat the 10 mile as a long run. A little background, I've never been a runner or done anything remotely cardio based. I wrestled and played football in high school and power lifted during that time and into my 20s. I'm 32 and overweight. I'm slowly dropping the weight as I get more into running.
