What times do I need to run to have college coaches recruit me? I haven't had any coaches contact me. I feel like my cross country season has gone really well so far.

2:12(Soph Track)

You can go to a d3 school but will have to initiate contact. You are not fast enough for D1.
How would you know? You don't know anything about my training or genetics.
Coaches care about times. 4:15 and 9:15 junior year are what decent programs look for. Your genetics are not good.
I haven't ran track yet this year. I know people that have gone D1 and are running slower than my current cross season. My grandpa was a D1 basketball player and I average 30 MPW.
Correction: Ran slower their junior cross season than I currently am

If you already know the answer, then why are you on LR fishing for confirmation, which you will not get. Your junior XC time is not bad, but your track times are really all that matters. You could probably sneak into Division 2 if you start emailing now.
And the people you reference your XC time in comparison to other college athletes, look at their 400, 800, 1600, steeple, etc. They probably weren’t recruited for distance unless 1) late peak 2) ran a nice 10K or 1/2 Marathon time 3) have run on low miles (anything at 50 or under) and have gone sub 15:50.
Don’t ask questions if you think you know the answer. You are a good runner, but your times don’t say that you are a D1 runner at the moment. Keep grinding, keep working. You have the framework to get there. Start by running more miles than 30.
I will up my mileage in the winter and summer since it is too late now and see if I can drop some time, 23+ seconds does not seem too crazy especially with a taper and the right course.
Get to 4:30, 2:00, or 9:50 junior year. Xc times won't get attention from coaches unless you win the league or qualify for state, or run it on a widely known course
Youre times suck besides your 5k. 2:12 is bad for a sophomore, you want to be probably sub 2 to get looked at. 4:46 is way too slow, you need to be at least sub 4:30. 10:25 is just awful for division 1. You will need to probably run a 9:30 to get looked at. Start contacting yourself. Don’t expect to get contacted with those times

Don't listen to this guy Tyrone, guy probably runs worse times than you anyway and couldn't make it himself.
The fact is about your pbs is they are definitely underwhelming for worse d1 programs. I would say for a lot of lower tier d1s you need to try at least a 15:40 in cross. And as far as 1600 and 3200 probably around 4:25ish and 9:35ish. Your PRs to me indicate that you may have more success in higher distances. If I were you, I'd probably completely ditch the 800.
Why would you want to go D1? Even if you worked your ass off and improved to maybe be good enough to make a D1 team you'd never do anything of significance. With your times trust me go D3, you'll actually have a chance to contribute for your team and maybe one day get good enough to run at the national meet. I was much faster than you in high school and worked my butt of in college and didn't even sniff D3 nationals that's how competitive it is. D1 and D2 are much tougher at the top because you have genetic freaks and a bunch of Africans because of scholarship money. Also you will get more time to focus on schoolwork and actually enjoy your life in D3.

For me it seems like the mile time is the best
XC Time is also decent, but of course, XC times aren't that significant unless you rank high in the state.
I'm not an 800 guy, but my coach made me run it for speed and all of my 2 miles were after either the open mile, 4 x 800, or 800. I ran a lot this summer and I have already PR'd in the 2 mile in cross country with 10:18 (yes it is accurate). I currently am finishing ahead of some guys who went 9:4x in track so I think I could drop even more time with some good training this winter.
Thanks for the advice, I might have to run the 4 x 800 as the 4th guy but I think I can go 2:05 based off of my current cross season. I'm thinking of doing a 10k but I might stick to 5k while in high school. As for the other guy, he obviously lacks attention so he searches for it on the internet.
Here's my view. Recruiting is a scam. As a senior boy that just ran 15:52 on a legit tough 5Kxc course, and have run 9:40 3200 and 4:32 1600, there's not a single decent D1 team that will give me $1. It's stupid. There are teams where I would be their #3 guy now yet they say they have offers out to faster guys yet we all know those faster guys are going to end up at better programs.
100 guys run the 5k in 13.xx in D1 every year. You are not a D1 runner. You aren't fast enough for a good D3 team. Sorry but those are the facts. Find a D3 team that is a good fit at a school that has your major.
Name 3 schools where you would be top 3.

No one needs to know your training or genetics, and no one cares. Do you think that when coaches look through race results they see your time and also a column for "Training and Genetics."
"Oh wow, Tyrone Smith didn't have a very fast time in this race, but would you look you at his training and genetics!? Off the charts! Willikers!"
You can say that you have the best training and genetics in the world, but if that doesn't translate to fast times and wins, then it doesn't matter.
Coaches are more likely to give a 15:4x guy that runs 30 MPW than a 15:4x guy that runs 55 MPW. That is a fact.
