Something like 15 sec at 800m on, 10 seconds off and repeat 20+ times? This seems like a great way to get in a lot of volume while making both speed and stamina adaptions. Has anyone tried something like this before?

I’ve incorporated 20x100m into MD workouts before, which this basically is, but you’d either need to slow those down or extend the rest. 10 seconds isn’t nearly enough rest for 800m pace work.
i've only done this in spin workouts when i was injured but have thought about doing this as a hill workout. 8 x 20 secs hard and 10 secs standing. it would be really hard.

My 800 PR is 2:40 so they were more like 80ish meter repeats lol
At the proper intensity to be considered a tabata workout, you wouldn't repeat this workout 20x in a row. You might do sets of 6 or 8 at a high intensity rest a few minutes between sets then repeat.
