Unfortunate to see Notre Dame struggling so far this year, was expecting big things from them. Hard to fathom Kilrea going from All American in 2018 to 174th in this race.
Just goes to show nothing is guaranteed in this sport.

injury....
Our full analysis appears below. It was a horrific day for the ACC men. That much we know. And much more.
Some first Observations:
1.) NAUs dynasty has NO intentions of slowing down, putting 3 freshman in the top 21 in stupidly good. Not sure when NAU did to Bosley but I did not expect him to race that mature in this big race for his first college race ever. NAU are the clear favorites to take home the title in Terre Haute
2.) Arkansas Women also looked very strong putting 4 in the top 9 in a stacked field. Not even sure if putting Cohen in the mix for New Mexico will be enough to challenge Arkansas, If Kurgat was in National Champion form that would be another story with her, Kelati and Cohen. Arkansas is the favorite to win in Terre Haute in my eyes.
3.) Kelati vs Monson: These two to me are the two favorites to win an individual crown, based on this season's performances the only other person I would put in this group is Taylor Werner of Arkansas. Nationals is not in Madison this season and I think the race being on Monsons home course with her experience is definitely an advantage, Id say that Kelati and Monson are even right now since Kelati won Notre Dame.
4.) Edwin Kurgat of Iowa State is my pick to win NCAAs this year: 2 big wins, Taking down 2 loaded fields looking pretty comfortable in both. I can't wait to see how Kikio of Campbell does tomorrow against a stacked field cause Kurgat, Kikio, and the Alabama duo look to be the individual favorites.
5.) What a race for the Tulsa men, ranked 28th to take 3rd today beating 16 ranked teams ahead of them. But we did see the Utah Women win Notre Dame and struggle today, is Tulsa a one race wonder? We most likely won't know until nationals to know if this team is for real in regards to being a top 10 or podium team.
6.) Conference Meets are gonna be really fun this year and have huge implications in regards to team points for at large teams for nationals
Big 10: Wisconsin, IU, Purdue and Michigan will be close. All 4 look solid top 15-20 programs.
PAC 12: Stanford, Colorado, UCLA, Oregon and Washington (I think Oregon will bounce back after a bad performance today, Not sure how good Washington is, guess we'll find out tomorrow at Pre Nats)
ACC: Not sure what happened to NC State, 3 guys didn't finish and didn't get a team score, Notre Dame Struggled today, and Syracuse REALLY struggled today, Virginia did okay today. Im sure Notre Dame will bounce back, not sure if Syracuse is legit or not, they'll make nationals in a weak region, where was Tooker today?
SEC: Ole Miss going back to back looks promising, no SEC teams raced today at Nuttycomb, but a lot will be racing tomorrow at Pre Nats. If Bama had a 3-5 it would make things interesting.
Big 12: Iowa State will most likely win Big 12s again, they looked good at McNichols and Nutty today.
Im excited to see the new rankings after this weekend, still got one more tomorrow in Terre Haute. Let the fun continue!
Wow Syracuse. What Happened?
Brien Bell...hot seat...collision course.

Drew Bosley going ape sh1t out there!!!!
How is Cole Hocker lookin?
sweet they pulled his redshirt at his home course
Cuse resting Tooker and Dragon was sick. They will be ok.
Wasn’t he rested from Boston as well? Can’t be a good sign to sit out a meet like this
No he ran Boston.
Yes, NAU was impressive, but they were running backwards between 6k and 8k. Grijalva lost two spots, Quax lost five, Bosley lost 16(after a rash and goofy surge at 5k), Raff lost 32, and Ferro lost 49. Beamish and Nur held their ground, but they didn't pick off anyone.
It didn't hurt them in an 8k, but add in another 2k at nationals and that could be a problem if other teams are moving up through the field.
Yes NAU lost places the last two k, but the point spread between them and the next few teams did not change very little. Remember that NAU did not run Hasty that replaces Raff and Ferro just ran a bad place. Under normal circumstances NAU would have easily placed all seven of runners in the top 30 that would be very difficult to beat. What is really scary is that only one of their top 12 runners is a senior, such an incredible depth and Tom for improvement is really scary. Yes NAU can be beat, but the odds after today are really in their favor.
Why isn't the U of Tulsa UK getting the same flack as Bama did a few years ago? Their top 5 are all British....
i get it , but DaMn DiD bOsLeY lOoK sExY.... but he's not cool enough
no he's plenty cool enough BUT I will say one thing about Bosley and that is..he will never be as cool as iNdIAna jONEs OR LEonARdo dICAprIo
Wisco Men ---> no Big 10 tile this year.
Why did Brody Hasty not run?
Athlete Special was way back. His tempos and training would seem to have indicated a faster 8k time than the 24:35 he ran.
Oregon men didn't run Noah Affolder or Lucky Shreiner (Ivy 5k champ this spring)

I like his channel, but I feel like all the Georgetown guys are workout heros. In all his videos they have a huge pack doing workouts that'd indicate sub 24, yet none of them come close to that in races.

As a conference ACC men might have had a bad day, but as a state Oregon went 0-4 with +4 (four spots 'higher' -- further down the list) from Portland at +4, but got a place higher because Oregon was worse, so really a +5 for the state.
Men: Oregon +6, Portland +4
Women: Oregon +5, Oregon State + 13
