I am trying to improve my running and started this year to run more for that ( between 30-50km per week) to take part in a marathon which I managed to finish. Today I ran my 10k PB in 47:55, last week I ran 48:34, which was equal to my previous PB set around 2 months ago. I was happy because last week on a first similar 5k (24:10) I slowed down in the second, while this time I was able to push and accelerate.
However, I entered my 5K best, (22:20 set earlier this month) in a predict race calculator and it said that I should run the 10k in 46:30 so finally I feel like I underperformed. Could you explain me why the gap is so big?
