The exceptions are gonna be the 1:51 / 4:07 / 8:50 type guys.
Curious thing is, I've seen OP post before, detailing their 5k PR to be in in the 18:30 range. Maybe it has improved now, but there's no way in hell he's fast enough to get away with being a know-it-all prick. No coach is gonna waste their time trying to work with a pain in the ass who isn't supremely talented. Just the way it is.
On the off chance your high school coach really IS useless, you've still screwed yourself over OP. Should have stuck it out IMO, quitting the team will not work unless you're a Brodey Hasty caliber athlete.
