My biceps femoris tendon has been hurting for the past ~ 4 months. The pain is localized to that area, I wouldn't even describe it as pain, moreso a feeling of irritation or tightness (although stretching does not alleviate the issue). I consulted a PT and chiropractor. The PT did not really help, the chiropractor suggested that I am having this issue because my glutes are weak and I do not use them. Rather, I rely on my hamstrings too much. I have noticed a slight numbness radiating from my biceps femoris tendon down my lateral leg to my lateral toe. As a precautionary measure, I got a nerve conduction study/EMG done which came back normal. I feel that this nerve irritation is in some way connected to my biceps femoris injury. Any ideas as to what could be going on? PT and chiropractor are unsure, given that the NCV study was clean.
