What are the chances they face off at the London Marathon in 2020?
Or is it almost certain that neither of them race again until the Olympic Marathon?

I assume they want to maximize their preparations for Tokyo. Is there a good race fall 2020 that’s later than Berlin? I’m assuming Berlin is too close to Tokyo to be optimal.
Can't see any reason why they couldn't run London given the Olympics don't start until late July.
It would be cool if Bekele did Dubai at the start of the year and got a WR there. It depends on how well he recovers from Berlin. I hope his hamstring was ok after the race because it stopped him destroying the WR after 30k. I feel like emailing Jos Hermens to ask him for an update on Bekele

Kipchoge will fvck Bekele in his fat little backdoor when they next race

I actually agree with this. Except the part about you emailing Jos Hermans.. but good luck with that!
Bekele at Dubai for a WR attempt would be more interesting. Plenty of good Ethiopians who can pace him along. And then again at Berlin 2020 if he doesn't do it.
I don't think Bekele could beat Kipchoge heads up.. and if they race in Tokyo Olympics and finish in 2:07 or whatever, it won't be that interesting.
London should give nearly all the appearance money to just these two. Then use the rest if the money to get the best pacers possible.
A “1:59” attempt in a real race with the two fastest men of all time. This would be a hundred times more interesting than other race.
I'm not sure they'll do it. Don't you think they'd want to be fresh for Tokyo?
