Good football, eh.

The USMNT is just pure garbage. That was an abysmal performance by them. So much wrong with the program..from the top of USSF on down.
I seriously thought 2 years ago and it qualifying for WC2018 was the low point of US Mens Soccer....tonight isn't too far behind.Outclassed...outworked...outplayed in general.
Its almost as if ZERO progress has been made since the debacle in Trinidad two years ago. As Taylor Twellman said back then "WHAT ARE WE DOING?!" Two years later we are literally asking the same question. Wtf.
USA look like an uncoached intramural team.
First. Full credit to Canada. Talked big. Came out and backed it up. It was a deserved win. A draw would have seriously flattered the USMNT.
Second. Pulisic being benched was worst thing that could happen. Totally isolated in a directionless offense. Now you can tell he’s pissed. Will he make the sacrifices to come back?
Third. As said before. Trinidad was worse. But only barely. And that was due to the stakes. Just got done watching Panama Mexico. No way USMNT can stay on field with them. Is this next World Cup cycle gonna be a repeat?
Fourth. Where is the hope. Weah looked good a few games ago. Where is he now. We get guys to have a decent game or two then they disappear.
Fifth. As much as I tired of Klinsmann he was right in trying to set a long term culture. Is there one now? Is there a style of play besides go wide and hope for a good cross? Can there be defensive cohesion for more than 2 minutes at a time?
USMNT is set up to beat minnows. Only. If that. Heck. Curaçao made a real fight this summer. Now this.
Bradley has aged quickly. Stop trotting him out there!!!
Thank goodness for Twellman and Darke calling it like they see it. Brutally honest and needed.
This was bad. Not an aberration. An appalling deterioration from within.
USA players need 100 mpw

You mean a nepotism hire (Berhalter's brother is a top exec at US Soccer), wanting an English (as a first language) speaking coach and emphasizing players from MLS is appalling?
It's absolute rot in the entire organization. They have no direction...off the field or on it. I'm not sure there is a coach that is going to be able to do much.
Let's be brutally honestly...they've changed coaches multiple times...they've changed players multiple times...and the results over the last 20 years have stayed mostly the same.
There was ONE run to the quarterfinals of the World Cup in 2002..THAT'S IT. US Soccer fans will say "Oh, but we outplayed Germany in that game"...yes, they did, but they also forget to mention how after their stunning first game upset, the preceded to draw South Korea and lost mightily to Poland in their next 2 games of the group stage and barely advanced to the 2nd round (thanks to Portugal hitting the post in injury time).
It's ALWAYS been a case where they struggle against supposedly vastly inferior teams, like Trinidad, Grenada, Canada and El Salvador (etc) in qualifying....but then they usually barely qualify for the World Cup and it's like the federation has this mentality of "we qualified, so who cares! Pay no attention those results". Then, on the flip side, the USMNT beats (on occasion) a Germany/Italy/traditional powerhouse who is usually playing a B or C level team and it's "See! We're making progress. We can compete with anyone in the world." Want more evidence of this mentality? US Soccer in 2014, made 2nd round of World Cup after barely making it out of the first round (again). Played Belgium in 2nd round. Got outshot 25 to 9 or something ridiculous like that, lost 2-1 in extra time, had arguably the greatest performance in WC history by a goalie (Tim Howard) and considered this a success.
US Soccer ACTS like it is a world power, yet is happy to make the 2nd round of the World Cup and that is their goal. Want to know what world powers in international soccer do? They fire coaches after 2-0 loss to Canada (in a game they were vastly outplayed and arguably out-coached). What do world powers in international soccer do when they don't qualify for the World Cup (Italy, Holland)? They literally change everything within the federation from the top down and change everything from the international team to the entire youth system and how they play/select players. A failure to make a deep run (quarters and beyond) in the World Cup costs managers jobs, federation presidents jobs and brings about systemic change.
International Quality players in that game = 1, Alphonso Davies.
The US's best player is going to play for the netherlands.
Pulisic needs to be loaned somewhere by Chelsea so he can actually play.
Canada played very well. Their coach got the most out of their players.
Pulisic has not been getting regular minutes at Chelsea. He started off ok but has since been relegated to the substitutes bench. He looked a little lost out there in the Canada match.
Bradley's skills have deteriorated ever since he left Europe to chase the big money he could get in the MLS. Money that no one in Europe was going to pay him. His poor passing in a WC years ago just after his move to the MLS cost us a match. He could get away with that pass in the MLS but not against international players of WC standard. They need to thank him for his time with the National team and then wish well in retirement. He has no business being on the pitch wearing the USA colors.
Klinsmann was more attuned to coaching European teams. He ran counter to the USSF which kept trying to get MLS players on the team. He did well in finding talent in Europe especially Germany.
The USSF should be disbanded and a new federation created.
