I used to be a competitive runner in high school and college. I was pretty fast and would win some meets in high school and won the county championship in the 1600m. But I was so skinny and frail looking and didn't have any strength. After college I decided to hit the weights hard. And I really dedicated myself to it.
You don't just turn into a strong guy with a nice build immediately. It takes time, it takes multiple years for ectomorphs like me to be honest, there are no shortcuts unless you take drugs. But after a while the weight on the bar just started to slowly add up. The muscles just started to slowly pile on.
The benefits were amazing.
-So much more confidence
-Body looks good instead of shell of skin and bones
-Women are much more attracted to you
-Sex drives goes way up
-Far more strength
-Great hobby for health
-Lifetime hobby
-Other men respect you
I advise any man to take up lifting weights and really commit yourself to it. You will not regret it.
