I just read an interesting article on Kibet after she picked up a course record win at the Army Ten miler in 54:05.
She apparently has joined the US army so I assume she's a US citizen. Can someone confirm that? She PRd at 5000 this year (15:27). Her 10,000 pb is 32:22 from 2017 and her half marathon is 71:47 from 2017.
Her sister Sylvia won 2009 and 2011 WC silver in the 5000 (14:31 pb) and also ahs run 2:25 in the marathon.

Rupp. Salazar better hurry up and certify the full distance. He only got to certify 23 miles before he was busted. He needed just 2 weeks to certify the last 3 miles.

Right now with all the injuries on both Mens and Woman sides to the top runners, there are no clear cut favorites to make the Marathon team on either side. Also given that the course is not pancake flat, that throws another unknown element into the mix.
There will definitely be surprises on both Mens and Woman teams. Rupp is no longer a big favorite, Ritz is fragile, Hasay is always injured, Cragg is injured, Flanagan might be retired(?). Definitely a crap shoot.
What are your thoughts on this? -

IDK - IAAF still lists Kenya as her country affiliation.

Found another article that says she was awaiting US Citizenship as of June 2019.

Also, her husband is Shadrack Kipchirchir. -
