Are they the best of the best?
Are they the best of the best?
Twin dopers
Salazar was the best coach. He really took min/maxing to the next level, and created athletes able to compete at the highest level / World's / Olympics.
Sad he couldn't stick to the rules and had to overdo it. At least new talent has a chance to emerge now.
Well, it can't be a coincidence that all of Alberto's athletes ran badly. The pressure that they would have felt since the ban must have drained them. Indeed, if the ban had been announced in the build up to the World Championships, it probably would have taken its toll on Hassan, Klosterhalfen etc. Indeed, it might have had a negative effect on a number of performances at the championships. For example, some athletes would have been more stressed by the news of the ban than others.

They are the best runners who will forever have an asterisk after their times.
Thanks, shady Al.
If his reported injury is not serious/long term, I think Rupp easily wins the trials in 20 weeks because he is that much better than the rest of the Americans. He should be able to start conservatively and then pull away like he did in 2016. [Again -- this is if he is not seriously injured.]
Hasay, on the other hand, probably can not do the same against Sara Hall and Emily Sisson -- or other women that are not that far behind.
In the past you would have had to say inarguably that Galen Rupp was the best current American marathoner, and Hasay could have been debated. Now Hasay really has no claim.
Rupp on the other hand is still probably the best given the inability of American men to reliably go sub 2:12, to say nothing of the mythical 2:10.
More importantly, when the trials come Rupp won’t know what to think when a certain coconino cowboy with a stride like butter rips his legs off.
One awful performance can't erase their previous achievements.
The real question is: Will they call it a day and leave the sport for good? Especially Galen, he has an almost sick psychological dependence on Alberto.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
