It also OTQs her in men’s marathon if she was American.

Comparing her to Americans is racist. Africans are more acclimated to running long distances because Africa is a big continent.
Well, give the American men the same drug cocktail that Kosgei is on and you will see a lot of sub 2:04s at the next US men's marathon champs. Even Rupp, who was skirting a gray area managed a flat 2:06. Rupp could have easily run 2:01 with Kosgeis megajuice.
Letting US men have the A standard for the OT with a 2:15 was already like letting them into the track trials with a 1:51 800. Now they're getting in with a 1:53.
The olympics itself only demands a 2:11:30, which would be like a 1:48, even if the women's WR were only 2:17. And that women's 800 WR is considered one of the most doped on the books.
Moral of the story is neither USATF nor IAAF has any "standards" at all for the event, they want to keep the oly marathon relevant by letting people in.
I wonder how she would run in the same conditions as Doha?

Probably like Winner Ruth Chepngetich who is ALMOST as good as Kosgei, Look for Chepngetich to at MINIMUM go under 2:16 in the near future, Maybe Dubai in January or London in April.
