One would think Nike would want to uphold the integrity of this achievement, especially after the nop debacle.

Yes, right at the 25k mark, didn’t you watch?

During? Are you serious? During...

DURING?

I too thought the same. LOL
Why would he be? It was an unregulated even
INEOS organised a lottery at the finish and drew 30 of the 42 athletes (Kipchoge plus the pacers) for doping control. That’s no guarantee that Kipchoge was tested but there was testing at the event.

about 25% chance he escaped testing Is there a list of the pacers?

Isn't that kind of absurd? Great that they tested the majority of the pacers, but why on Earth would they not make absolutely sure to test Kipchoge? It would be one thing if they didn't test anybody, but wouldn't it be ridiculous if Kipchoge was not selected?

I don’t know this for sure so am reluctant to say, but three of the pacers with whom I spoke (no, I’m not going to name names) said that he was tested.
I'm sure he was because I know that the IAAF even tested all pacemakers even the ones that were not previously in their testing pool.

And what's the half life of epo?
so first of all what is the point of testing the pacers, none of them are going fast enough for dope to make any difference. You can easily get 30 non-dopers that fast.
The only real point is to obscure the fact that if you have one competitor, then you should test that one competitor.
And second it is all moot because, as I proved already, he stepped on the orange line and is DQ'd.
Also, did they even have that orange line measured by real certifiers? It could have all been a gag, short by 2 kilometers, and in a month INEOS will reveal the hoax and laugh at us.
id refuse testing until IAAF agrees to ratify the attempt.
why test, otherwise?

The course was short by over a mile. Also, not shown on the broadcast, there was a wind turbine truck behind Kipchoge the entire course. All the spectators were actors hired by INEOS. Both those things combined took off at least 10 minutes off his time.
Yes, he was. What else could you expect from people organizing the evento, like Nike CEO Mark Parker...?
Do they normally test athletes for every hard practice session?
He probably was, but the real question is how much was he tested leading up to it. Doping doesn't make you faster. It allows you to recover faster, doing harder and more frequent workouts that clean athletes can't handle, resulting in you running faster. This is why you'll hear dopers claim their results are the product of hard work or they train harder than anyone. That's true, because doping allowed them to do it without injury or regression.
