Props to Dathan for reeling the kid in.
Right? Obvious improvement under Dathan's coaching. Whether it's a fitness improvement or mostly a "dont race like an idiot" improvement.
A small part of me is a little disappointed. Stinson was so full of himself after his precious marathon blowups. He seemed to truly believe that going out at 2:05 pace was smart racing and posted tons of messages mocking everybody who disagreed with his strategy.
We all saw that and thought "what an idiot." But part of me has to respect somebody who is willing to just go balls to the wall when it's clearly suicide. Part of me wants to believe some sort of miracle can occur. So it's a little bit sad to see him come to reality and run smart, even while I respect the solid improvement in his PR. I like a dreamer, even when the dream is a bit far fetched.
