You all realize that a potential hamstring injury and her look of being upset/crying/anxiety attack don’t have to be mutually exclusive, right?
With all the BS this woman has had to put up with since that Salazar news, she probably needed this race as something positive to focus on/direct her energy.
So she’s finally ready to go, get to have her mind on JUST racing for 2+ hours, and then ~10-11 min even that all comes crashing down. That look of anger, sadness, frustration, and panic looks like the end result of all that crap finally come to a head.
Especially if you look back further, this girl has lost her mother, can some pretty crazy professional peaks and valleys, spends all that time under public suspicion bc of her training group, then loses (for all intents and purposes) a father figure who probably helped her through a lot of those hardships, so to have her Chicago race blow up? That’s called a breaking point.
She’s human. She’s allowed.
