Should have been smarter and dropped out just before 7 miles, or whenever it was when he was dropped.

That's why you are not a world class athlete. They don't just give up because they are being dropped. They fight on -
it only makes sense to distance themselves from Nike and save a solid performance for negotiating a new contract with someone else.

This is crazy. American male runners suck. Rupp couldn't even beat Kosgei at her pace. He should have gamed it and at least finished.

Enough of these lame ass comments. Can anyone clarify why he was being treated by medics? Did he have a tear as a result of his surgery? Itβs so lame that people will make critical comments about someone who is been treated by medics. But thatβs letβs run -
Doesn't Rupp use a lame medical excuse every time he DNF's?
Without AlSal handing out "secret supplements" gruppy had no chance. -
Saw it happen right in front of me. He made the turn on to the bridge (33rd Street), stopped, grabbed his calf, sat down, and rolled over.

Huh, I was at then 40K mark waiting for him, but noticed he never came and found out he dropped. Mo was definitely hurting and I'm sure he was as well...

This is incredibly sad to hear. Hope his Achilles are okay.

If it is injury as reported, then I am sorry to hear that. Running injuries are the worst. If it is pride, then I wish he would have finished. It sounds like the former. Let's hope not.
