First, let me give major praise to Eliud for his amazing accomplishment.
Second, I respect the aims of the accomplishment in terms of human limits.
However, let's bring science and technology into it...
If this time and the human limit test will mean something, we would have to know:
1) how to train to achieve the efficiency of the Kipchoge gait
2) the miles per week and paces of those miles
3) minimum, maximum, and net elevations of his training runs
4) custom shoe drop
5) diet and supplement regimen (legal)
6) supplement regimen (illegal, if applicable)
7) equivalent ectomorphic builds at different heights to Kipchoge's
8) sweat rate
9) his VO2 Max (and how it has changed)
Only then, will this information be able to help other athletes to achieve Eliud-like feats. Without it, people will simply ask why....and move on.
