If I go to the Olympic page, it's there but zero, zilch nada on main page.

It's been on the front page all day under TOP HEADLINES and was just replaced when NCAA Football scores started.
Why should there be?

It was an exhibition, not a real competition. It's not a record. It's a very interesting sideshow.
I have seen several articles on it.
All of them mention it's not a real world record since the conditions were modified and controlled.
Front page of Clinton News Network!
It's getting more coverage from the "general interest" news media than anything related to elite running since the heyday of Bolt. We shouldn't be complaining.
Whaddya expect from MSM? Clearly the gay guy should be the main athletics story.

Shut up, Ivan Drago.
Also, it's football season.
And I'd say at least 75% of American have zero idea who Kipchoge is, or that breaking 2 hours for a marathon is a "thing."
FOOTBALL.
What a sad, mean-spirited POS you are. First your “I deliberately slept through it” claim in the official thread and now this.
I certainly get that it was not official and to some that it was a circus, but it remains a hell of an achievement. At the finish line (where I was and you weren’t), strangers were hugging and crying. It might be hyperbolic to say, but it really brought different people together. I stood in a line Americans, Englishmen, a Spaniard, Germans, a Chinese man, some Kenyans, Ethiopians and a couple of Japanese people - I’m from Australia. Throughout the morning, we chatted as best we could - one Japanese guy could speak Chinese so would translate for him as he spoke only Chinese. It was a truly amazing experience to observe.
And then there’s you.
I cannot stand any code of football - soccer, rugby, league, AFL or NFL. But I’m not going to start a website about football and tear apart so many aspects of the sport. You, however, appear to loathe running and most achievements within the sport.

I was on the main page of espn.com all day checking scores and Kipchoge's run was on the main page all day long.
It was a clown show bro...
