Close but not quite the 14:24 course record. Meet record though.
Despite finishing second, Newbury Park may have broken the team time record (if tenths aren't rounded up).
Those two young men put on a show! And how about Great Oaks 1-5 gap of 14 seconds...
i was thinking about starting another thread to talk about Clovis, but decided one more wasn't really necessary

I can’t make sense of their splits. The post says they went through 2 miles in 9:55, but finished 5K in 14:28. Since that would be a 4:05 last mile, I assume the 2 mile split is off?

Splits were at 1 mile and 2.1 miles for this meet. It's a single timing point set one mile from the start and the finish.

The 2nd split is not at 2 miles. I am pretty sure that they use the same timing mats for both split checks. The course runs out, does a loop, and then comes backwards to the start. The split check mats are placed before/after they run the loop. So they hit it once on the way out and again on the way back. The 2nd split is for sure more than 2 miles.
