I have read lots of posts about this issue. I have done a lot of running the past and had some knee an back injuries over the last year or so. I was doing lots of elliptical and weights until around 2 weeks ago. I began to switch it over to walking uphill on the treadmill and then went on a short run. Last Thursday, my wife and I went jogging and I ended up doing about 8 - 80 yard sprints uphill. I woke up last Friday and one of my achilles was sore. I didnt think much of it - kept exercising/went to PT on Tuesday and Thursday and now my calves constantly burning and my achilles in both legs have mild pain/burning.
PT thinks its tendonitis - no rupture or anything. I wear Nike Free running shoes which my PT said are not good since they have zero support.
Any advice? I am post 1 week injury and still have same symptoms. Activity flares it - non activity still has burning at times.
