Why does the NFL not have even one linebacker today who is as dominant as Ray Lewis was?

Why are you dissing Joe Schobert?
Lawrence Taylor was the best linebacker to ever play professional football.

No ? About it.
But remember Sam Huff, Ray Nitschke, Tommy Nobis, Jack Ham?
Why is there no horse in horse-racing is as dominant today as Secretariat was?
Why is there no decathlete in T&F is as dominant today as Jim Thorpe was?
Why is there no volleyball player as dominant today as Karch Kiraly was?
Why is there no [population] member as dominant [in today's sample] as [historical outlier] was?

Right?!
Maybe it's because Ray Lewis was...uhhh...really good.
Ray Lewis killed people. In real life. You take that mentality and apply it to the football field. No one else is doing this.

The other guys on the field were afraid he would actually kill them after the game if they didn't let him tackle them.

He says he didn't kill anyone. He claims all he did was stand by and do nothing while he watched someone get killed and then lie about it to the police. Don't make him out to be a bad guy.
Khalil Mack is pretty close.
While it is unclear whether he actually killed someone in real life or not, he possessed a killer instinct (no pun intended). He was perhaps one of the most ruthless football players of all time. He is in the same category as Dick Butkus or Lawrence Taylor. All of these guy were punishers, relentlessly attacking anyone who had the football and bringing them down with full force. Today's league, the closest equivalent is Khalil Mack, but he still has a long way to go to catch up to Ray Lewis.
I think it’s mostly how defensive coordinators these days are more controlling and make linebackers play to their system instead of allowing top guys to roam free and play on instinct.
And the fact that they play more 4-3 now and Ray Lewis played in a 3-4 scheme.
In a 3-4 there is always one lb rushing the qb and 2 on a blitz but the O line doesn’t know which one(s).

Um. Jack Ham was great.
But how can you forget Jack Lambert?
Not sure there was anyone more dominant

Comparing pure pass rushers like LT and Mack to a middle linebacker like Lewis is absolute evidence that you know nothing about football beyond where the beer fridge is.
There are great middle linebackers near Lewis' level, Bobby Wagner and Luke Kuechly to name two. They just don't have the all-time great defense around them that Lewis did.
Terrell Suggs is better than Ray Lewis.
