I was on the USS Intrepid that day and saw all of it. It was the most inspiring, memorable July 5th of my short life.
When Peter "Bones" Sherry jumped in the ring in his Reebok Enclave jersey and went to slam Yokozuna to little crowd applause and fanfare, I was mortified. When he tore all the muscles in his body and Yokozuna fell on him, nearly killing him (I believe he was given last rites like Al Salazar and was clinically dead for 14 minutes), I gasped.
When I saw Bones at the DC Marathon 10 years later, I knew that he wouldn't drop out because of that dreaded cramp. That man is tough as nails. And so is his 1994 Brown Toyota Camry which has approximately 340,000 miles on it.
Well at very least wont be bringing more non americans to represent country .
and take the piss by doping them to gills too.
were doing everything in power to destroy local native american running .

Like, what did Galen do to Kara to deserve this? If he runs well, people will doubt his performance. If he quits, people will laugh.
All because someone couldnt move on.
This idea is hard to explain but Ill try. Falsely accusing someone gives the accuser power. Even if the suspect is innocent, they have to defend themselves, and as they defend themselves, they look suspicious. It really must make the accuser giggle as they watch people squirm. That is wrong. That is evil.
We should harshly punish those who falsely accuse.
What's evil is your sexism.
This wasn't started by Kara. This was started when Danny Mackey - working in the NIke lab was told by the head of the Nike lab that Salazar's atheltes were on T and got away with it. That combined with high T values in their tests led him to report it.
Magness also reported. He was so spooked by the Nike test results he took a photo of th e documents. I believe the masseuse as well also went to USADA. And then Kara.
Ritz said he supports the decision.
So Kara just made it up? What about the others? Everyone just couldn't move on?

Classic. Attacking the whistleblowers instead of the cheaters.
Aren't the whistleblowers all somehow related to both Salazar AND Dr Brown and refuse to share their exact involvement?
Do whistleblowers get immunity from being banned from doping for whistleblowing?
Feel free to investigate them instead of attacking them to defend cheaters.

The usada report admitted there was insufficient evidence of doping. That is not an evil empire..
Oh yeah and one more thing. After Mackey reported it, he got a death threat from the head of Nike's running group - Capriotti.
You don't think that's evil? Just standard corporate operating procedure?
This is the company that was still sponsoring Lance AFTER he was banned from life from cycling. There there was PROOF of doping and they didn't turn on Lance until other sponsors started dropping him.

Stop crying about their shady pasts being brought up.

They dropped him a week after the official report was released. But I'm sure you have the exact verbiage of the contract between Nike and Armstrong which totally makes that irrelevant right?

I’m not. I’m pointing out the ridiculousness of attacking the whistleblowers while defending the cheaters. What shady pasts did Bullet_Proof bring up?
This is probably an old thought, though I haven't come upon it before. Made me chuckle when I thought of Dr. Brown's soda, as pertaining to that other Dr. Brown. And, might I add, it also made me shake my head because of the negative spin. Apologies if something like this has been posted before.
Here's to you and whatever you made your runners ingest, Dr. Brown. No, really, here's to Kara and Steve and others who I do take to have a moral compass, unlike more than a handful of others on this fine message board:
man i just bought something from them and i sent it yesterday for a return (the singlet didnt fit). and now i see the site has shut down.
i better get my REFUND!!!

You expect us to believe that you were dumb enough to actually buy something yesterday, what with all this sh*tstorm of negativity about NOP? If you really did purchase something, then I don't think too many of us are going to share your heartache, should you not get a reeferfund from that pharmaceutical company.

You mean because the whole Chinese democracy/basketball thing? Right? Or do you actually think that a running club has any impact on the stockholders at Nike
You got that right. The entire NOP budget amounts to a rounding error in Nike's budget.

Would you know where I could read more directly about the story of the witness who was threatened?

Hey Lance, he is essentially correct, Nike was slower than most of the sponsors to drop you.
