I've been stuck lately. My last 3 races have all been about the same times (19:50, 19:35 (flat), 19:55 (same course as first)). I feel like I've been training really hard but haven't gotten better at all since my first race almost 4 weeks ago. I don't have another race for 2 weeks. My goal for this season is to break 19 at the course I've run 19:50 and 19:55 at, in 4 weeks. My training usually reflects a sub-19 time, yet I can't actually do that in races. I don't feel exceedingly out of breath but my legs won't move any faster. I've run 45-50 mpw for 11 weeks now. My ferritin is low but that's been the same across all 3 races. I don't know what to do. Why do I always fall short in races and why am I not improving?
