How ironic would it be is Hasay is the one who DNFs earl and Rupp goes on to break the AR.
Mo looking pretty chill.

I'd wish for less stories / more running. NBC coverage is annoying.
Hang on, it will get worse.
There will be a touching human interest story on when the big moves come late in the race. It's tradition
3:08:21 pace for little Jordan Hasay?
2 pacers + men's lead pack of ~8-10 runners all rocking the pink NEXT%.. what a sight.
So Kosgei's 'debacle' is the pace makers screwing up?? There's 2 of them. If one of them had a brain fart, the other surely would have covered. What happened? Not like it's a downhill start like Boston.
Jordan Hasay is trying for BQ in her age group i guess

OFF THE JUICE!!!
Even without Salazar, she would still be a 2:30 marathoner, not a 3:08 marathoner. So there must be something else going on.
Rupp has just been hanging on to the very back of the men's lead pack the entire way. I'd be surprised if he lasts much longer. It did not sound like his buildup went that great, and they're running 2:04:16 pace -- almost 2 mins faster than his PR.

I think Kosgei was pushing the pacers to go faster. Would've been obvious to spot their mistake given by the fact that they were ahead of the 2nd pack of men through 5k.

Maybe she's just looking to lower her own 1/2 marathon world record and call it a day!

Who said that? Pacemakers are doing GREAT, they looked effortless at any pace Kosgei wanted to run. Kosgei was literally running into them forcing them to go faster. Should they run the projected pace like robots and ignore what Kosgei wants/how she feels?
Pacemakers are doing their job, setting a pace and picking it up when Kosgei wants to, and they look effortless at any pace so far, even when she was going at 2:10 pace so these pacemakers can probably run at least 2:06, they are fit.
Rupp now dropped from lead pack...
Galen dropping off the lead pack, running ~5m behind them now.
Looks like Rupp is falling off the back.

I agree that it must have been Kosgei's doing, but would be shocked if she recognized any of those US men 'elites' she was ahead of.
Ummm, ever heard of Jordan Hasay?
Not after today.
Rupp has been dropped, just over 7 miles into the race. Mo Farah and Bashir Abdi dropping back from lead pack a bit, too.

Galen rupp will drop out so that he isn't tested after the race

And ALL of them use the cheater aerodynamic arm sleeves that Kipchoge was also using in his sub 2 attempt. The advantages through new technologies are getting ridiculous, makes me think what Geb would have been able to run (he ran his marathons in the Adios, considered to be a joke these days).
