Weather is pretty good here. A little chilly (41 degrees), but the wind isn't that bad right now (9 mph). It's supposed to pick up a little during the race, but if it stays like it is now (it didn't feel that bad walking to the media hotel), we could see some very fast times. Brigid Kosgei has two male pacers who are supposed to take her through in 68:00 and there's some talk that she could challenge Paula Radcliffe's 2:15:25 WR.
Word on the street is Paula thinks it could go as well. A media cohort told me Paula said she didn't think she could have run a 64:28 half (as Kosgei did last month at the Great North Run).
If she breaks the WR, can we all finally blame the shoe and do something about it
