Anyone want to guess who are the agents of Kosgei?
I’m guessing ...ROSA
I KNEW tons about her, during her career. Our two kids, daughters, were both high school track and cross-country runners (the elder also ran half-marathons). Together we watched all of Paula's races - I'd tell them about how significant her world records were.
Otoh, I completely missed all these revelations / allegations of her doping. Probably because I/we haven't had a TV for over 14 years.

You got it! Nothing to see here...

Anyone got a clear close-up of the shoes Kosgei is wearing today?
She was wearing the pink Next%. Boing boing!

So, let's see. Rupp had surgery for a potentially career-ending injury. He hasn't raced since then, has struggled in training. He lost his coach in the last two weeks before Chicago. Still, he showed up, endured all of the bullshit from the Salazar ban, and ran as hard as he could until 23 miles. My respect for Rupp has increased.

I don't care if it's the shoes, or Rosa sauce or just a super-talented, hardworking young lady who's profited from the excellent conditions and realised her true potential. I'm just glad the smug smile has been wiped off from Paula 'Off scores' Radcliffe's face. I hope I never have to hear her name in a marathon again. 16 years was too long.

Emma Bates got more screen time in the past 10 minutes than either of the winners got towards the end of their races.
And she got ZERO screen time for at least and hour and a half (Maybe longer; I stopped watching at the point) Was kind of annoying to just constantly get shots of Brigid. No offense, but watching the same solo runner for over an hour gets old. Was wishing they would have shown more of the women in the race sooner.
So I’m happy to hear Emma finally got screen time at the end.

Kosgei beats Off-Score Paula’s WR by over a minute.
Excellent. Bye, off-score Paula.
I’d like to see Kosgei’s hgb and ret% values.

I’m not sure..but I think Cherono is also managed by the ROSA group.

Oh the bullshit Rupp had to endure just because his coach since his mid teens is a banned drug peddler, and evidence of his own involvement was at the center of the case!

Yes, he is.
https://www.iaaf.org/athletes/kenya/lawrence-cherono-296902Having yesterday just watched the Ineos 1:59 Challenge - which had EXCELLENT in-race coverage; why the bleep can't anybody else get within 1% the quality of that coverage? How many more DECADES will we have to wait for it?
Heres the last 3 minutes of Kosgei's world record.
Fantastic run. The photo op with Paula after the race was cringe level 100

Because billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe was personal paying for everything, and wanted the best-everything

I agree that it's better to have an old doped record beaten by a new record, even if it's doped. Doper glory should at least be short-lived. And the greater the evidence of doping and deceit, the less I like to see a record stand.

It's hard to see but her shoes really, really don't look like Vaporflys. They look far too thin

Um okay. Paula cheats but you are happy that someone who is definitely getting a huge advantage from ridic shoe technology and also possibly doping (I just assume everyone is to keep watching this sport) broke the WR?
