You don’t run 32 minutes for 10k and 1:07 for half and 2:20 for the marathon. She made a suspicious significant improvement around 2016-17, and hasn’t run 10k or 5k since then, but if she had you would have seen a result closer to 30 minutes, because that’s what a 1:07 and 2:20 runs. Comprende?
If you are a pure marathoner you definitely can have those times, especially if you decide to focus less and less on the 10k as you get better in the half and full. Yes it is not in the norm, but that is because most people are better suited at shorter distances and move up.
Don't think that the girl who was the High School record holder for the mile and was an Olympic Trials finalist in the 1500 is a pure marathoner.

Didn't the NOP doping work on Cain for a while, giving her a lot of PRs?

Hasay twice set the USATF Junior Olympics Youth record in the 1500 meter run, first setting the record in 2004 with a time of 4:34.02 and setting it again in 2005 with a time of 4:28.61. She also twice set the USATF Junior Olympics Youth record in the 3000 meter run, first setting the record in 2004 with a time of 9:48.77 and setting it again in 2005 with a time of 9:35.12.
Yeah, she was a fast preteen, then after college you could make money betting on her to DFL and get lapped. But once the NOP doping kicked in, she goes 2:20. She is 100% filthy.
Makes zero SENSE, if she is doping why not dope while on the track when running 5K/10K ? So doping only works for the marathon now? Could it be that she is just a raw marathon talent? Great engine, 95lbs adds up over 26miles.
Hasay joined the Oregon Project in the summer of 2013. Shortly after joining she ran the "B" standard of 31:46 for 10,000. In 2014, with a year at NOP she ran 31:39 (she also ran a 4:07 1500 PR that summer); in 2015, with two years at NOP she ran 32:46; and in 2016, with three full years under her belt at NOP she ran 31:58. In the 5,000 her times for the same years were 15:50, 15:28, 15:45, 15:32.
Now, with a similar time frame of three years, look at many of the women at the Bowerman Track Club--Shelby, Schweizer, Frerichs (add Kincaid to the list). Incredible improvements from college. I mention this not to indict them: great coaching sometimes yields great results. Yet Hasay . . .
So, to Hasay's critics I ask, how does one explain her mediocre track performances, not for one year, not for two years, but for three full years? If it is through performance enhancing drugs that she now succeeds, why didn't she perform better earlier? Shouldn't this give one pause before unqualifiedly accusing her?

It seems pretty obvious Nike gave Alberto his NOP unlimited resources. No other running club is going to have access to some of these - not even the Bowerman Track Club.
In addition, they offered free lawyers to Salazar and his athletes (and former athletes) throughout the investigation.
NOP?
She's a cheater. Cheater Hassay.

Of course Nike thugs are behind "Hasay breaks her silence about Salazar and talks about her future." She's a Nike puppet just like the rest of the NOP are. These aren't her words. She marches to the Nike tune, and she will not step out of her Nike box or she is axed. She's a Stepford Wife of Nike. Nothing surprising or news worthy in her "breaking her silence." I call BULLSH#T on her story!
Wow, you’re a gullible idiot.
So, as long as the person sounds sincere, you believe them, even though you think their coach cheated?! Yikes, way to be thorough about your decision....
You are such a typical hypocrit Letsrun poster, it’s pretty funny. I wonder if you believe Hassan or Farah it Rupp?
I actually believe Hasay as well, but I couldn’t care less about L-carnitine. People are using EPO, but it’s not NOP
I suppose you support the Nike 4% shoes as well.....

Yeah, and every runner who has worn the Nike 4% shoes has improved as well.
What’s your stance? I think I already know
The amount of mental gymnastics going on to try to dislike here Jordan Hasay is baffling. She is the nicest and most genuine athlete out there. Some of you people are trying too hard. There’s a lot more proof that doping is rare than that it is common. The hysteria is getting old

Very few American 'thonners were built for the 'thon re running efficiency. Desi, Joanie, Frank, Alan Culpepper.
Name others.

Your coach is under investigation for doping and you stick with them for four years right up to the bitter end until they are banned. The situation was so bad even sir Mo EPO left because it was better for his public image to go to Africa and post pictures on social media training with athletes serving bans. There was so many details out there from various parties previously associated NOP publicly and I'm sure some of the whistleblowers would have given athletes like Jordan more info privately if she had gone to them expressing concern about whether sticking with Salazaar. People giving her credit for coming out with a statement a week and a half later need to wake up to reality. Plus her post "he has shown me nothing but respect" after the news broke. Not the kind of response I find appropriate for my coach just lost the appeal to overturn his doping conviction. That she stuck with him through this entire process speaks far louder than any statement she could make at this point.
Some of Julian's athletes claim they were unaware of the conviction in 2017. Has any athlete who was coached by Alberto stated if they knew he was convicted in 2017? I'd hope USADA would be required to disclose to an athlete if they had convicted their coach of a doping violation even if it was still under appeal. Its not fair for an athlete to train under a convicted doper for 2 years unknowingly. I don't want to assume anything with USADA so not sure if anyone knows more.

Sure, she goes 2:20 and arrives AFTER Goucher and Goucher only broke 2:26 twice going under 2:25 once in her entire career.
You're claiming that Jordan wasn't a better runner by almost a mile in a 26.2 mile race, but actually...she was;)
Did Goucher take anything with Salazar? I don't know, but to claim that Jordan did because she ran so much faster is ridiculous at best.
But you keep on believing what you want;)
you don't know any of the above people personally .
So Sara Hall just got busy in Berlin. And like Jordan she can beat you too. So I guess she must be a doper too. Gobbling down those muscle mile pancakes and singing praise songs. You guys are fucking idiots. Jordan trained hard for years to get where she is. she was 5:51 in the mile in 5th grade.

I think your use of times to compare here is very misleading considering. As far as Majors Kara only ran Boston and New York which are unpaced races and not as fast as Chicago where Jordan ran her PR. Kara was top 3 at both of those races and 3 min of the CR record at New York. So to say Jordan is a better runner by a mile is not accurate. If Kara had run on a fast course like Chicago in a paced setting in her prime her PR would probably be 2:22 or faster. Technically Jordan is faster than Shalene, but Shalene's win and runner up at New York are more impressive that Hasay's resume. Time is not the only factor for the marathon. At the end of her career, Hasay may have a better marathon resume but at this point, I think Kara and her are pretty equal.
I'm an NOP runner, by choice, so therefore I must be a doper, even without knowing it. I'm part of the Evil Empire ruled by Nike and, still, Alberto.
Funny, but the day after Alberto became my coach, I improved my marathon time by 2+ minutes. Hey, in fact my 800 time improved by 2+ minutes, also! It's the magic of the man, though a whole slew of know-it-alls just know it's really the magic of the medicine. I mean, the latter must be part of the, ahem, "formula of success" explaining my improvement, because LetsHate's finest tell me that NOP = cheat, and I'm NOP. I wear the NOP skull on my singlet, so automatically I'm guilty as not charged.
Incidentally, and it's not too different, I choose not to wear one of those little American flag pins on my lapel. I've been branded an America-hater, as a result, by some of those same know-it-alls who have pronounced me a cheat.
So I must be a bad boy for:
a) signing with NOP;
b) continuing with them through all the turmoil of waiting, waiting, waiting for the axe to fall;
c) continuing with them since Alberto got kicked in the cahonas (which changes the way testosterone is processed in his body; Caster Semenya, don't you get a kick out of that?); and
d) having played Trivial Pursuit with Dr. Brown.
Ooh, it's time for my evening meditation, at which time PEDs are apparently infused into me by the Buddha. Never mind that...I meant medication.
As Alberto says, Namaste. What's that? He says, "No mas, today"?
