I asked and got Sketchers GoMeb Speed 4. I love them.

How does it compare to the Razor 3? Do you feel any real impact from the nylon injected plate, or is it really just a lighter Razor 3 with a thinner stack? I like the R3 and Hyperburst for training, but it doesn't have a lot of pop for shorter distance racing imo.

I would say it's a faster, lighter razor 3. Definitely snappier and more snug fitting, a good race-day feel for sure. The nylon plate seems to only make the ride a bit more stable. I would have preferred a midfoot wrap as well like the R3, but I think this will do just fine. I'll let you know how it races this weekend.
I've always been about a half size smaller with Skechers. and it was true with this one. The Razor was about 1/4 size big for me (size 9)
Saucony- 9.5
Nike- 9.5
Skechers- 9.0
Reebok- 9.0
Haven't run in them yet, but will TT tomorrow (was gonna be Saturday, but we have a store coming in)
the Speed 6 feel good though. Super light.
I have a pair coming in to review this weekend. I was very excited about them, but now I am worried about the initial reports of them fitting nearly a full size small, as they do not make the next biggest size for me. Oh well, will update :-)
Thanks - good luck on the race this weekend!
Btw...the nylon plate sounds similar in function to the TPU plate/insert in the New Balance Fuel Cell Rebel. The effect of that little lateral fin notwithstanding, I think it gives a nice stable platform for push off. I think I might pick the Speed 6 up now too.
Like someone else said, I'm assuming this is the short-mid distance racer and the Speed Elite with a propulsive CF plate will be their mid-long distance racer. Sucks to have to wait until February to get it...those of us in the Northeast probably won't be taking a shoe out with that breathable of an upper on runs when the temps are in the single digits.

To ease your mind, while they fit a little snug, I'm very happy with mine. I wore size 11 in the R3 and bought the same size for the Speed 6. They are only slightly smaller than the R3. I felt the R3 ran a half size small but fit me perfectly (I wear 10.5 in trainers).
Yeah, I think the full size small thing is exaggerated. I went with the same size as my Razors that fit perfectly, and it is snugger, but in the way that you want for a short-mid distance racer. These kind of racers should fit snug.
Just got mine today. Agreed with the sizing, I went half a size up to a mens 10.5 (10 in the razor 3)and it feels just nice for me. Fore and mid foot width is just nice, I have wide feet. A full size would be kinda loose for something to go fast in. Will post again after running in them!
I ordered the same size in the GOMEB Speed 6 as I did in the Razor 3. The GOMEB is definitely snug. I got a blister on my heel and my toes felt cramped. I am sending them back for a size larger to give them another shot.
I really love the Razor 3!
Definitely more snug than the Razor 3 (ordered the same size) but I like the fit since they are racing shoes. Razors had more room for sure, about half a size.
Ran 3 x mile workout today. They felt great. Not sure if I like them more than LT4 but it's hard to do back to back comparisons. They are definitely more cushioned though!
Have they got more padding than the Streak Lt3/4s?
This actually looks a lot like the shoes Cheserek was wearing earlier in the year. The foam was thinner than the "Speed Elite" and it wasn't the Razor 3.
14:26.3! Very happy with how these felt out there. Super light and responsive. Everything a short distance racing flat should be. I'm sore now (definitely more so than racing 5Ks in the Razor 3), but I would say these are great up to 10K. Maybe a half if you have great form.
But only 5s faster than the Razor 3? Where are you sore, lower limbs?

Ankles and Achilles tendons. But that is normal for me as I train in high stack shoes and overpronate a fair amount. Any neutral road racing shoe will do that.
5 seconds is about what I expected. Old rule I have always gone by is 1 second per oz per mile. The speed 6 is 1.2oz lighter than the Razor 3. About 4 seconds for a 5k based strictly on wait. Add a second for responsiveness.
The hyperburst is a magic material. It seems to provide more cushion and dampening on demand (downhill on pavement) yet remains firm on push-off in all scenarios. I would say that you will feel more protection than the Streak.
Stack height is not congruent with cushion. Ignore numbers across brands; such as a Hoka with 18mm and a Brooks with 28mm.; the Hoka may have more cushion. Or not.
Someone needs to make a masheen that measures midsole deflection and rebound under ballistic load so shoes can be accurately compared regarding cushion and responsiveness in an apples to apples comparison and not just stack height and marketing claims. A robotic leg loaded with sensors.
Regardless, I need to git me some of the GoMeb6's! I have the 5's, but they are like a track spike for the road, very unforgiving.

See I've been planning on getting the Razor 3s for ages but I've held off for the Speed Elite, carbon plates are a 1-2% advantage, thought they'd be out by now. The risk vs 5s isn't worth it. 200mg of caffeine is worth 10s at my speed.
good one
