You know, other than Tim, I'm really happy that my other two faves in that race, Makh and Lewandowski both medaled. Makh spent some time in Iten and everybody seemed to like him.

I said Centrowitz wouldn't make the top six.
I know people here must have disagreed with me but hey, he didn't!

Centro tried to chase Tim! Tim Cheruiyot!!! They say he's a master tactician but that was just dumb.
None of the Americans are at podium level at this time.

Why do you pretend to be Kenyan? It's bizarre.

I was actually hoping these two characters would snag medals. Wanted Jakob to get the third one though. Ah well. Potatoes is beyond suspicious. Not a fan.
...yet you think makhloufi ISN'T suspicious?
El Keniano,
Karibu!
Long time man!
We are doing mzuri!
Rhonex is a beast in waiting. HE is fearless.

Fantastic victory, he blew the field , opened the track like if it was the red sea.
No tactical bullshit, no being afraid, no hesitation, he went for the kill at the start, started under world record pace to create a gap big enough to secure the victory.
That was the race of a true champion. Ingebrigtsen sure seem to like the honour places.
And no danger to be unfairly pushed or kicked.

Is it pronounced 'burrer' or butttttter ?

Ingebrigtsen to get bronze at some point? Seems like Makh will get busted at some point.
Hopefully - he wont be able to hide away and go full throttle for 3 years with Tokyo in 10 months time.
Tim ran a brilliant and brave race, and I'm happy for him, delighted if he's clean. But let's not forget the ZDF investigation and the Manangoi's mysterious fall from grace this season. If they go down, so does Tim.
This is what you sound like every time you talk about Tim.

Centro seemed torn out there. He either needed to stay right on Cheriyot's shoulder. Or he needed to sit on that 2nd group and run to kick for silver. He was definitely uncomfortable being the rabbit for the chase group in a fast race
No!
Here is the long and short of it brah!
Matthew Centrowitz is DONE!
He is yesterday's news and I say that not with the intent to mock him.
Engels is the man. He is the new kid on the block ........for you Americans.
Just the facts man, just the facts.

Hmmm...more evidence that El K is a Polish chav living in Basildon.
Or is just because pretending to be a Polish guy pretending he's not the white guy who had been pretending to be a Kenyan guy, gave you a certain fondness for Polish athletes?

Isn't he being suspected by the IAAF for doping?

Kenyans are the masters (teachers), Americans are the pupils.
Matthew gets a shot in a ridiculously slow pace of 3:50. He will medal .
Make it hot like buffalo soup and he wilts.

The rest of the world is out there......

Nope.
The winner is though.
Lewandowski to get gold so Jakob may get silver in the next year or so?? Tim and Makdoofy are obviously going to get busted in the near future.

Might be the first race I've seen Centro be poor tactically. Chasing in the scenario was not the right move.
Definitely agree.
At first I liked how he started getting assertive to establish better position about 200-300 in once Tim started gapping and stringing out the field. But he overdid it a little and awkwardly started to pass Makhloufi on the turn right before 400. Should've just tucked in behind Makh daddy.
But maybe in the end he still wouldn't have had the legs to kick and contend for a medal even with a better tactical race

Asante! He really is. And at his age he'll only get better. Very excited for his future.

Did anyone think anybody else would win? The only way Cheruiyot would have lost is maybe getting tripped and shoved by the "dirty" Ingebritsen... he could not catch him anyway to try and trip him....
