qt3.14 Hassan running on pure hate!
EFF the doubters, she obliterates the Afro-Italian EPO cheats and whiny Americans.
Utterly insane times all around.
Hassan = GOAT range. Alberto = god-tier coach.

Basically everyone in the final runs a PB/SB. A handful set national and area records. HASSAN DOESNT EVEN BREAK THE WR. And everyone focuses and accuses her of doping. If an American had done this, barely would say a thing. Brazier set a CR and PR in his race. He’s NOP as well (albeit with Julian), why isn’t there the same level of suspicion? Because he’s not African. And for the record, I don’t believe Brazier or Siffan are doping. Just using him as an example.

That was an intense final. Huge props to Muir for hanging like that and and for Houlihan for going 3:54 and getting 4th. Was hoping Simpson would have hung in the mix better but wow, someone must be coming it at night and cutting little milimeter wide pie slices off of the track each night. Final after final brings record after record
Muir is EXTREMELY unlucky. First, she lost a big race because Dibaba was doped and ran her kick out of her. Now, she loses another medal she deserved because Hassan was doped and she tried to keep up and win.
Sucks when clean athletes don't medal whereas those heavily operating in the grey zone AND exceeding it get rewarded.
You Needed a 75' 1 3/4" for third tonight!!!! And yes, field events have been awesome these Games.
She's 26... I am curious about people's theories here. L-carnitine is legal - it definitely doesn't make you a 3:52 and 4:12 runner, what do people think Salazar's is actually doing?

Hassan is doping on her own and Salazar is providing her additional grey area benefits. Equals this performance. Remember, Hassan was an also-ran like Mo Farah and suddenly becomes unreal around age 30.
I wanna see Hassan crack 3:50 next year.
BURY that stupidly doped Dibaba time.
Haterz tried to get inside Hassan's head and she said NO. Pure Islamic power.

you answered your own question. do you remember how alberto was banned earlier this week? of course there's going to be heightened suspicion.

3:51 wire to wire. Give her some male pacers to block the wind the whole way and she's probably more like 3:46. Getting AWFULLY close to sub-4:00 mile territory. Cheating or not that would be wild to see.
Not even wire-wire...she practically jogged the first 100

You know Hassan is 26, right?
She was not even ready when the gun went off. I would expect some that can close a warm moderately pace 10k in 3:59 to be a able to at least run a 3:51 flat out. Still, every single runner in the NOP is on something.
3:51 is obviously as dodgy as, but Hassan has hardly been an Also Ran. Her results have never been consistent in her early career because she always went with the pace. She crashed and burned a lot, but her mindset was to always go for the win.

Awesome job Sifan. F the haters
Same. Hassan ran the race a supreme talent like her should run more often. She ran the way Prefontaine ran but with the talent to back it up. Jenny Simpson finishes eighth with a seasons best which is just about where she stacks up in any of her championship medal races if the fastest runners would have had Hassan's courage. Houlihan finishes 3.5 seconds ahead of Jenny and Muir 3 seconds. I guess they are on the Salazar sauce too? Only sweet moral compass Jenny is clean, I guess. Screw all the ignorant, whining NOP haters. Read the report and quit making stuff up.
I wouldn’t be one bit surprised if the Qataris made some payoffs to fix the doping lab, Sochi-style.
48.14? Hassan? Come on
I believe (believe, can't prove anything) Sifan is clearly doping. The time, looked comfortable/relaxed, cple of days after racing the 10.
Still enjoyed the race though.
Should have gone all out and raced the 5K too. :)
Sorry but this is ridiculous. If one goes by suspicious improvements, Debues-Stafford is the main suspect in this race. Hassan improved a little over 4 seconds in 4 years, GDS 7 secs or more in one year. Next ones are Houlihan and Tsegay, also with huge improvements.

Is 3:51.9 really that unexpected her? She set the mile WR months ago!
No one has ever been fit enough to win the 10k and 1500 in the same WC in such dominant fashion. She left the defending champ and everyone else in the dust. Is she really that much better than any runner in the history of the sport?
Walsh with five straight fouls after his 22.90 PR bomb. Weird series.

She is doing this on purpose - starting 1-2 sec after the gun, running last place in the beginning. Would she go out at her real pace she would run well under WR and even the biggest hopeless believers here at LR would start having doubts. She also looked back many times in the 10k and now in 1500, to make sure it's enough. She could have gone MUCH faster in both races.
Also, no we don't single out Hassan. The entire NOP and Nike team has this insane performance improvements and performing exactly at world's, and it's not even just the top guys like Brazier Hassan or Koko but also runners like Engels who suddenly run like from another planet and easily go through hard first round and semis.
I would be shocked if Sifan is on more than grey-area stuff given the heat that is on NOP and Salazar. Hassan is reaching her peak and let's not forget she ran 1:58.5 and 3:56 4 years ago. She was never an also ran. This really isn't that surprising of a progression.
