Incredible!!! I only wish they had the WR graphic on the screen so people would know what to look for.
-
McGlaughlin only .03 off the old WR, and .07 off win. What a close....Muhammed is amazing, but Sydney will break the WR soon. SO close.
-
Sydney is very intense anywhere near a track, and very perfectionist. I think if and when she can relax a bit, she will take down Dalilah.

what a bunch of CRAP, honestly.
why are you absolutely favoring McLaughlin over Muhammad?? She is also an American athlete who, right now, is the BEST of the world at her event; proved it at the trials and now at worlds. Muhammad is indeed an amazing 400m hurdler and deserves more recognition that just three words in your whole statement. pathetic. -

I mean, Muhammad obviously had an amazing run and is at the peak of her career. I don’t think talking about Sydney takes away from that at all.
It’s only natural to also talk about the twenty year old that is only a tenth off the world record. Muhammad was running 57 seconds when she was Sydney’s age. -
You need to relax. What are you Muhammads coach?
-
How does this only have 8 comments? Amazing run!

Isn't this a bit hypocritical? What you're doing is arguably worse by coming on here with outright negativity in a post celebrating a World Record by an American. The original comment was not mean spirited in any way and was just meant to highlight how good they both are and then you come in here with that? That's weak. You're the pathetic one. -

How many times does Dalilah have to win and break World Records for people like you to shut up? Been calling it all along. Sydney is a Prima donna. -
Wow...the shot of the finish line lean is absolutely and instantly iconic.

This made me chuckle. -
Look at 6:45 into this video of the race:

Why is McLaughlin's starting block so far back? Her hands are about a foot behind the line. Everyone else is right up to the line. -

I would assume it has to do with the getting the timing and space right going into the first hurdle. Maybe she was constantly running up on to it by just a little bit. having the blocks back keeps her in rhythm, at speed, in the right spot. -
Great race, both women are so easy to root for and both so well spoken. Can we possibly se a sub 52 next year?
