Hello... where's the men's steeplechase!
Way to step up Barshim. He is one of like two actual Qatari athletes here.

Waiting for Barshim to make that 3rd attempt. Game on now!! Got the crowd riled up. Looks like a repeat of 2017 for Steeple - Kipruto, Bakkali 1, 2. But no Jager for 3rd this time.

They had to show countryman Barshim make his jump.

I never ran hurdles so it's too hard to watch. Can't really tell who's winning til the last turn. Can't tell what pace they're on til they're almost done.
Having the hurdles there give a visual clue where everyone is in relationship to each other. Makes its way easier to tell who is winning than a flat 400.
Get that stupid high jump off of there.

Heh. It's easier for me to tell who's ahead in hurdles than flat races. You watch to see who is over hurdles first. They pop up a little to clear the hurdle. So, you just watch the whole field to see who goes up first.
It's easy.

You can tell who's leading by watching which runner clears a specific hurdle first.
Kipruto right to the front, but then the 2 Ethiopians join him. Looks like they may have a plan, quick start!

I actually like Kigen if this pace is 8:10 winning time or so. He's got that big kick when he's on.

Mostly relay entrants but they must have well over 20 athletes in these Championships.
