Tort reform is needed.
Essentially this is reptilian theory. Go after the $$$. Don’t worry about the facts , appeal to emotions.

The hotel resort was a much as a victim, had no responsability. It probably lost a lot of money. Why would it pay anything?
The compensationsystem in the US are something else. It probably does not exist anywhere outside the US.
The hotel was a victim for allowing a guest to bring in dozens of guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition into his hotel room?

It's an hotel. Do you expect them to search every customers luggages?
I have never been searched in a hotel , never and I have not heard of hotels which were searching their customers, as they would probably lose a lot of customers and go bankrupt very quickly. This isn't an airport.
The hotel did not allow anything. You can bring what your want it it's hidden. The other main question is that the US law allow so many weapons to be bought by people like this terrorist.

I don't think you know the full details of the story so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt:
14x AR-15 rifles
8x AR-10 rifles
1x .308 bolt-action rifle
1x .38 revolver
1,100 rounds of ammunition in 75-100 round high capacity magazines
Scopes and bipods for some of the weapons.
Do you think he hid those guns under his dressing gown?

Did you think he came in and showed his guns to everyone? He hide it in his luggages and that's all. Unless you request every hotel to search all their customers it can happen in every hotel and they are not guilty of anything.

He entered the hotel with 10 rifle carry cases as his luggage.
Why don't you just read the reports about the massacre rather than guessing? How do you think he carried 23 rifles into a hotel room on the top floor secretly?
