Despite her ugly tats and piercings she is considerably prettier than these two.
48.14 and 48.37. While Miller-Uibo's 200 capacity allows for that, especially chasing, 48.14 for Nasser is literally incredible. Competing for Bahrain, she cannot be though above reproach. Come on.

Energy wasted? She ran a PB to grab a time qualifier. How is that wasting energy?
If i could think of the perfect time to PR, i'd pick Worlds as the 2nd best time to do it. Olympics would be the first.
Yeah, she should have conserved energy like Michael Norman did.
Her improvement has been insane since 2017.
That was alien as hell. She basically started fast and sped up throughout. Naser is glowing right now
She looked kind of like "Whoops, I wasn't supposed to go that fast!"
Miller-Uebo may still have a gold out of this.

Speaking of piercings, I only today realised that Jakob Ingebrigtsen has some ridiculous ones on his ear.

If you move to the USA and run for Alberto, is that better than East Africa??????
+1
He made an almost identical post in reply to me the other day, but this time he's wisely chosen to ignore Hassan and Mo as examples of East African genetic superiority and is left with Meb.
The idea that Kenyan runners aren't any good is just laughable. Then why does the USA 'import' lots of them? Chelimo, Lagat, ..... The Kenyans may not have had a stellar championship by their standards but come on, put some effort into assessing their performance instead of the lazy PEDs excuse. Some of their best are not at the championships, esp marathoners, some are injured e.g Manangoi and Rudisha, etc.... Another reason is bse other countries are getting more competitive in the mid and long races, e.g Uganda. They are also losing to african born athletes running for other countries, e.g Hassan with the Netherlands. All the same, you can always count on Kenyans, and Ethiopians to contend for medals in races from 800m upwards. Even in this championship, they may yet get medals in 3000 sc (Kipruto) 5000 m, (Obiri) and 1500m (Cheruiyot) and Kipyegon ... Of course there is also always the explanation of some athletes who don't do well at championships, even when they have had a gd season, see Korir in the 800m....you cd write an entire day on this subject.
Dina is the loser here because I'm sure Shaunae will move down to the 200 for next year.
Marita Koch 400m wr 47.60

I will say I had nothing against the brothers going into worlds. Since then Jakob is constantly running up on people from the inside and being physical without earning space to do so. Filip is dropping out in striking position, and then acting ridiculous in a heat...Not a good look for them.
+1, I have definitely lost some respect for them over the last few days.
We all know that they are running against doped up cheaters. They are getting dirty with runners who are dirty in every sense of the word, in the only way they can. Notice the Ingebrigtsens never get into any roughhouse tactics with Brits or Australians.
She was born in 1998, so it's not that strange that she is still improving. I wouldn't bet on her being clean, though.
Naser's time is the fastest time in over 30 years and in my opinion is the new world record.

I'm not surprised she has improved. But the rate is just astonishing.
Maybe Koch is clean afterall. :)

Yes, after rio olympics Filip was full of love and admiration.
Nice riff from Crammie re: KJT:
"From Liverpool. Woolton. John Lennon country. It's been a hard day's night."

And Dina will just continue to get better and beat Miller-Uibo in Tokyo.
SO the German kid is 19 points back in third but he's run 4:15 for 1500.
Uibo has run 425 and the 2nd placer (15 points back) has run 424.
