The Ingerbrigsten are dirty. Did you see what his brother did to the Ethiopian on the 1500 qualification?
If you can't beat them join them.

In the 5000 he just vanish the last 200 meters, but he made 13:02:92 . ( Near his PB) so it wasnt a bad race for him . Is this his limit right now? Probably yes., the Ethiopians and Muktar Edris in particular has a 12:54 PB, Selemon Barega 12:43, Haile Bekele 12:52 , Ahmed 12:58 so it's not a surprise that in the end they had a better kick than Jacob (13:02 pb)and that Jacob was behind them.
It was a good race for him, but the four guys that arrived before him are just stronger than him right now.
In the 1500 he has chance to get a medal, probably not the gold cos Cheruiyot is faster than him right now , but a silver or bronze medal he had good chance to get it although is not easy at all.
I agree with this. His 5000m was on par with what is expected of him in current form, and I like that he gave it his all.
his 1500 is stronger atm and he should be a medal contender, but he will not beat Cheruiyot.
In Tokyo however, he will start his gold collection to become the GOAT.
Anybody remember Imane Merga? I was greatly entertained by the brawling Merga, the great Ethiopian who had a penchant for "nudging" his opponents around... JAKOB! The NEW MERGA!
Better cool your jets a bit, Jakob...
I'm hoping for a surprise win from Engels, great speed in the last 20m. What a race!
I am always happy to see Jakob run, such a talent he is. And the way he balance his body , he move in a perfect way. So many jealous guys here that criticise him , you are all losers.

Will he come back to race with a can of mace or pepper spray? Perhaps a club or tire Iron?
You can hardly go to a fight without an Ingebritsen race breaking out...and finishing far ahead, ha ha.

Yes. It runs in the family.
So the ethiopian runner decides to run to the right when there is no space because Filip is on his side and Filip is the villain?
If anything it was a dirty move by the ethiopian.
I guess the eyes will see what the eyes want to see.
J Ing. is not Coe, Cram or Ovett wrote:J. Ing. has no raw foot speed. Cram had weak foot speed for a sub-1:44 800m, but he was a sub-1:44 800m man. Cram could wait until 200m to go against most athletes.
This is why Lewandowski - a sub-1:44 800m man with strong foot speed, will WIN.
All he has to do is be within 5 to 10 meters of the lead with 100 to go and he can breeze by in lane 5. Good time to buy stock in those nose things he wears.

It gets better and better.

I was actually thinking about him after watching the 1500 heat. For a while it felt like there was major contact every time Merga was on the track, whether he was at fault or not. Seems to be similar with the Ingebrigtsens this week.
Filip was a trainwreck out there and he didn't need to do that at all. What possible reason was there for him to go inside at that moment as the other guy was coming outside, again for no reason? And I can understand putting a hand out to avoid a fall but punching him in the back was uncalled for. I'm surprised he wasn't dq'd. He didn't deserve the Euro Indoor dq where he was forced onto the infield briefly, but I think he deserved this dq. Sorry to see that. Manage the space around you but he crossed the line, as did his competitor but not as badly.
Did you watch the same race? The dude ran into Filip.

You mean Jakob used the dirty tactic of trying to take Moh out 3 or 4 times by tripping him?
Just stay home devastated, little dave22.
C'mon...you really think that was intentional? Have you never raced before? I get your frustration, but don't get carried away.
Yes 100's of races at a high level. Got tripped once in 10 plus years. Jakob tripped Moh 3 plus times in a single race. Jakob should have been DQd. He will be in future races if he continues to run this way. Congrats to Moh. I liked seeing Moh swing out to lane 3 in the homestretch to avoid Jakob.
He's been looking like the 2nd best 1500m guy in the world this last summer. But after the 5k maybe 3rd-5th might be likely if he doesn't get 2nd.
