He'll get it on time..
Impressive and stupid by Vasquez at the same time..
At least 3 americans in the final on the 800m?
Nice change up from the stacked american sprint fields I guess.
Wesley Vazquez won semi 1 after 48.7 first 400m.
Clayton Murphy 3rd but probably safe with 1:44
W Pole Vault. Now thats what I call getting back on the horse!. After the Swedes pole snapped and she went down, she gets a do over and with a new pole moves on.

Angelica Bengtson is strong.
First, the pole breaks on the last attempt on 4.80.
She gets a chance to try again due to equipment failure.
She borrows a pole and tries again.
Make the 4.80 and new Swedish record.
Bengston...no. Not Swedish and don't care.

That was some scary stuff. Super impressive to come back after that, with the pressure of a third attempt, and get it done.
I am not American.
And I have already said my piece about CC.

Born and raised in Sweden. Yes, Swedish.
Now, the Duplantis kid... go ahead and call him not Swedish. Not gonna argue with that.

11.10092 vs 11.10093 I think
That's cool I guess. would have surely been a first with no one qualified?
That they separate on 1/10000th of a second though?
Haven't heard of that in ANY sport.
They've got 9 lanes. Use the extra for situations like that...
Agreed! If that isn't a friggin tie, what is???
Korir out...total fiasco
2nd semifinal slow. Brazier looks like a monster.
Lookin good for Murphy to get through on time.
Korir out!
Brazier looks comfortable..
Korir goes home DEVASTATED
Can't we think of a better way to do the 800 semis than to go from 24 to 8. Why can't we at least run a 9 person final and just take top 3 each heat. I mean Korir just finished barely behind the guy likely to win gold and won't be in the final.

Stupidly qualifying for the final.

Agree, total BS. They have an extra lane, use it.
Korir was 'overwhelming favourite' for gold, according to El K.

Make the 4.80 and new Swedish record.
Also has the best ace at the WCs.
Watch out for the bosnian express in next heat.
Bosse, the reigning champ will struggle..
