Off obvious stands for dumb f*ck f*ck, which you are.
Hall was the first white woman to finish. So, FWW.

At what point does Sara’s career surpass Ryan’s? It’s pretty crazy how severely we underestimated Sara Hall for all of these years.

Relax. She posted a good time. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

6th fastes time ever by an American women is incredible. At this point I think she's a major contender for the Tokyo Team. If I'd have to put money down I'd say Hasay, Sisson and Hall for the team. But the womens field is so dense almost anything can happen.
I am a little worried that she never did really well in e.g. Boston which is also hilly like Atlanta. She either has terrible races or stellar ones. If she gets a stellar one at the trials she'll make the team.
Sorry, it’ll be the year of the Hs: Huddle, Hasay and Hall
And that’s Sara H, not Marielle H
I'm not saying Huddle can't make the team. But she has been struggling with the Marathon and I think the ability to run low 2:20s is whats required to make the team if we go by previous performance. But ofc anyone of these women running at leasy sub 2:27 can make it if they have a fantastic day and someone else doesn't. But my money is on Sisson instead of Huddle.

I saw a list that had her 6th all time:
Updated U.S. women's all-time marathon list:
1. Deena Kastor 2:19:36, London 2006
2. Jordan Hasay 2:20:57, Chicago 2017
3. Shalane Flanagan 2:21:14, Berlin 2014
4. Joan Benoit Samuelson 2:21:21, Chicago 1985
5. Amy Cragg 2:21:42, Tokyo 2018
6. Sara Hall 2:22:16, Berlin 2019
Don't know if she's 6th or 8th, but what stands out on that list is 4. Joanie 1985.
Yeah, an amazing time in the blood doping era... ?
yes, and Joan ran 3:02 today at age 62
What shoes did she wear? Asics or taped over spring shoes from Nike?
Is she still running NYC after that?

Before the race she said this was the first marathon buildup in two years without a major injury. She also recently said that she ran three 22+ mile runs the first week of September. Does she keep grinding out the miles and risk injury or does she start looking at staying injury free until the trials?

YOU underestimated her, don't put everyone else in your world of ignorance

How can they be lackluster? She was less than 2-minutes off the winning time. World Class right now is 2:20 for Women.

I HOPE the times are lackluster because they're "winning" the drug war against the cheaters.
There will always be cheaters but they seem to be catching more of them.
Back in the late 70's early 80's we wondered what the human limits were.
No, 2:22 is World Class, a level that Groucher never got to as have many others who were considered world class.

+1
Huddle will make the team in the 10000 after she finishes 4th or 5th at the marathon trials.
I think she's had a very cool career. Very good, but never quite good enough to make an Olympic team (at least thus far). This seemed to give her more flexibility to explore different events. Didn't she steeplechase for a while? Hope she closes it out by making the team for Tokyo.

Not quite good enough on THAT day. She's run about 2 and 1/2 minutes faster that Kara Goucher ever ran and she made the Olympics more than once. Point: There's a lot of luck and good timing involved in making the team. Don't count Sara Hall out on February 29th;)
I’m a fan and pulling for her, but running a 10 miler this soon isn’t something that I think is productive.
Wtf? A week after Berlin and before she does NYC?
Is she trying to Ryan hall herself into retirement

Sure, but if Huddle makes it, you'll say "I didn't say she couldn't make the team". And if she doesn't you'll say I knew Sisson would beat her. Kind of a win/win situation there, eh? Why post if you aren't going to be firm on your "guesses" versus being flimsy and wishy washy?
What I like is she is out there racing and winning, mixing it up on the road. It reminds me of the 70's and 80's with Rogers, Shorter, Durden et all mixing it up at this race or that. Most of these guys used the 6, 7 or 10 miler as a hard work out. IT's one of the major reasons we have such a lack of interest in our sport - we never get to see Galen, Molly or the other stars except for Chicago or occasionally New York. This tactic (Sara's) could be good for Jordan and some of theother up-and-coming athletes. More visiability, more fun, less starin in workouts and potentially more money.
I’ve long been a proponent of someone like Ritz, now in the twilight of his career to become a ‘road whöre’ and race almost weekly. Bring something back to the good ol days of old.
