Quoted for irony. I laughed out loud because I don’t think you did this intentionally.
you do realize that he did this with just 3 months of training and with injuries along the way kipchoge on the other hand trains for more that at least 4 months
he also rose up the ranks in the road much faster than kipchoge. KB hit the roads in 2014 and posted 2.03.03 in 2016
kipchoge hit the roads in 2012 and posted 2.03.05 in 2016.
and it goes without saying KB ate kipchoge for breakfast, lunch and dinner in track and cross country.
if that doesn't prove he is the goat, then i don't what will.
With that said i also hold much respect for kipchoge. But i feel KB is raw talent and kipchoge is product of hardwork.i feel KB has a lot more to give especially considering he doesn't train properly as has been mentioned in letsrunarticles.

KB is an all-time great, but not the greatest of all time. A true GOAT has consistent performances.
With that said.... wow. 2:01 is mind-numbingly shpeedy
You realized of course he dominated the track for 6-7 years?
yOu ReaLiZeD oF cOUrSe he DomiNaTEd tHe TraCk foR 6-7 YeaRs
Bro I could take him in a 200
i don't understand why so many in this forum keep saying the elites are taking ped. please don't throw me the articles you will find from googling "doping in east africa"
while doping might be rampant in the lower tiers, i think in the level of kam,kip and kb there is no way they would go undetected and anyway just look at how happy they look running they simply couldn't be doping.
anyway i think there recent onslaught of fast times is because of the shoes.
for all you know kip,kb are still 2.03 guys in better shoes.
But is he the 2019 world champ?
No, this run will be forgotten about in 3 months
Where are those Mo Farah fanboys. Those who thought to know our sport.
This is not only Kenny the goat but also a lesson in running.
Kenny owns long distance. Such a delight, what a day. He might pull it of. Owning the 5k, 10k and marathon WR.
i second this^
i am such a happy man today

In fairness to Kipchoge, Berlin is a flatter course than London. But yeah, I agree with everything else you said.

I don’t think those people are saying the elites are definitely doping, they’re simply reserving the right to be sceptical about their performances. Perhaps the incredible performances are due to better equipment, training, nutrition etc., however the sport had been rocked by a number of high profile busts (not just lower tier athletes) over the years. Hell, I’d say most people on here idolised Kiprop and we’re keen to see him snatch the 1,500m WR back when we thought he was a clean, superhuman skeleton-man. Innocent until proven guilty but let those reserve the right to question what they see before them.
Doped to the hilt. Time is as legit as the Chinese women's 3000 record.

Lol! I had a good laugh at this one.
Seriously, I'm so happy for KB.
I hope we stop bashing our athletes because we really don't know the injuries or struggles they go through to ghetto where they are today. KB proved all the haters wrong and it showed menu do not know what they are talking about.

Gobble Gobble MF to all the doubters. They must be feeling silly now. It feels good being right. I knew he could do it. He has come back even quicker than I expected. I was hoping for him to be possibly 2:03 and he smashed that. He literally destroyed the field. Well done Bekele. It is also a great day for me. Maybe people here will respect me more and won't think I'm a village idiot. This is the most excited I've ever been to post here. I can't wait to see gold in Tokyo next year.
2.01 at 37 years old and on 3 months training. Fans will believe everything about their heroes. Some of us don't buy it.
Dude comes out of nowhere and drops that on 3 months training.
Probably fine.
I am starting to believe there are no drugs, no magic pills, no magic workouts.
There are mental barriers that runners allow themselves to be controlled by.
Once those barriers are shattered, in the case of Bannister's 3:59.9, Kipchoge's 2:00:25, Geb's 12:39, then the floodgates of human potential open and we see something like today.
These runners solely race to the bar, to the limits that are known.
Aim for the unknown.
he should not waste one of his few remaining marathons to run in 100 degree weather.
Not to forget that the weather conditions today were not bad but in comparison to 2018?
The pacing for Bekele was also not perfect. The performance today puts the Ineos party rather in the shade, even if Kipchoge creates the sub 2 in the wind shadow of his runner phalanx and the electric car.

KB the G.O.A.T
You are right....Most all believed KB was done, including myself. I am happy for him and all those who called it. Yes, now he is 100% the GOAT (and probably was yesterday) unless someone breaks 2:00:00 for 26.21875.
Although many, including myself, do not fit in to your take on those who disagreed with you.
