She could challenge the mile WR
She could challenge the mile WR
Found it myself
How do you beat the mile world record holder in a 10k? Theoretically, you do it by making it honest and making her hut. Her competitors tried that tonight but it didn't work. She had PLENTY in the tank.
Hassan won in 30:17.62 but her 2nd half was 14:43.80 (1st half was 15:3382).
But check this out. I just did the math on her last 1500. I thought something was wrong so I checked it like 3 times. Her last was 3:59.09. That's absurd.
HS boys, her last 1600 was 4:17.15- 65.72, 64.95, 64.99, 61.49.
100 meter splits are here:

PS. Please let me know if I'm off on this. It's crazy to comprehend but I've checked it over and over.

Nothing of this applies to Hassan, who started running in Holland as a teenager. She didn't need running to escape poverty, she trained/trains mostly in the Netherlands or the US, not in Africa. And she also got a WC bronze and ran 3:56 before joining NOP. She might be suspect, but it's silly to think her *more suspect* than Gidey, Tirop or Obiri.
You might be right, although from her Instagram she does seem to winter in South Africa. One thing in her favor I would say is that she apparently shares Laura Muir's public dislike of Dibaba.
Hassan closed a fast 10000 with a great 1500m time. I wish we could've seen her go against a peak Ayana who's been missing the past couple of years.

People here underestimate the sheer potential that runners who can drop a 65:15 half on the roads have on a track 10k. I'd say she can run 29 low, and will break the WR in a faster race eventually.
People here underestimate Alberto's sheer skill at developing his runners into world beaters at every distance!
Mo 3:28 and 59:something, and completely unbeatable!
Galen 3:50i/7:30i and 10k/marathon medals!
Hassan breaks the unbreakable dope Mile WR, 65 HM, and 10k World Champion!
Alberto knows more about coaching than anyone! He has the best workouts!
Yes that or perhaps he is running a sophisticated doping operation.

Nah. Too much scrutiny.
He used Aden as a means to dope Farah. Where does Hassan go every now and again for training camps?
God, Jambo, that video was pathetic. Science has already proven that microdosing EPO is a farce. Not enough to make an impact on performance, which is why some athletes probably do it due to misinformation, miseducation, and placebo.
Hassan is already the mile World Record holder set this year. Have you been sleeping?

rojo, don't act like you haven't done the same. At Conference, I closed in 4:23 last 4 laps when my indoor Mile PR was 4:18. Nothing crazy in a tactical race, and I wasn't the WR holder in the mile like Hassan!

No it hasn't.
You've got Renato and Rekrunner giving it the EPO doesn't work, and Africans are too nice to dope, but no science has proven that microdosing doesn't work.
Microdosing is the same as macrodosing except that you build your hct more slowly.
Isn't Hassan a red herring?
Gidey's personal best over 1500m in 4:11 and she closed today in 4:02.

Three women ran sub 30 at the 2016 Olympics. Hassan’s time wouldn’t have gotten here top 5.
This was great by Hassan, but she is being gifted in this era, because there is no Ayana, tirunesh or Vivian at 10000 or 5000m. All who have blasted through 5000 and 10000m
trollism, show the research on EPO microdosing and effects in endurance running. Yeah, doesn't exist.

A preposterous last 1500, what a joke. In 15 years we'll be looking back at this and shaking our heads at how we could have been fooled so easily. What's next up for Hassan? Smash the WR in the 5K with a 3:57 last 1500?

Yes, her last full mile (1609.344m) was covered in 4:18.939. That is 4:18.94
Rojo,
This reminds me of Bekele's 2008 Olympic 5000m race.
I expect a similar write up to this:

Let’s not act like she was alone. She didn’t take the lead until 400m to go so all 3-4 women did the same thing.
Loved the white girls running so conservatively. Like a flock of seagulls.
Um, yeah, the white girls are running according to their genetic potential and they aren't doped to the gills either. Not saying the Africans wouldn't thrash them in an equal environment (clearly, they would) BUT don't bash the whiteys, just because they're better than you at physics and medicine and all those smarty pants things.
This sport is doomed. Once there is a significant possibility of cheating and not getting caught, as is the case now, every performance is suspect. And the most suspect performances are the best performances. Therefore, when anyone runs well, we reasonably doubt them. And the only people we have faith in are the people who just run ok. So the sport is simply no fun. If someone is great and clean, we reasonably suspect them. It would be like if there was a drug that made you shoot three-point shots better. No one would appreciate Steph Curry because we would think he was cheating. . . off to watch football, where taking steroids doesn't mean an automatic victory.
Hassan has run 14:20. The first 5k was 15:32. So the race didn't really start until the last mile. She only ran 30:17. But the "journalists" who own this website just can't resist trying to implicate every single great performance as the result of doping.
