I hate to sound skeptical, but this doesn't look good.

Femoris bicep pulls/strains/tears, if one attempts to train through may lead to: Achilles strains/tears or rupture. It happened to me. This is sad. I was looking forward to seeing Nijel Amos race.
I hope there is another front runner who goes out very fast, I feel Amos fast front running tactic was Brazier's best chance at the GOLD. Brazier is clearly in the best form of the field in a sub 1:43 race when Amos was injuried but in a 1:44-1:45 any in the final can have a devasting one wonderful race kick and win.

Canadian Johnny Gray is entered.

Vasquez from Puerto Rico is a fast front runner, also the Kenyans from UTEP will front run,. Brandon McBride also could Set a fast pace.
I know it's very unlikely but the US actually has a chance for a sweep with Amos out.

Nearly every swing d&ck remaining has the ability to go out sub-25/sub-51, 200m/400m. Amos has the ability/gusto to pull a field sub-76 at 600m mark. Are there any 800m runners remaining crazy/brave enough to pass 600m, sub-76 seconds?

Will McBride go out fast?
?? Emmanuel Korir is now the overwhelming favourite.... ?

Yep. Once again - can someone explain to me what these guys are doing in the 10-14 days before the most important meet of the year that is leading to catastrophic “Achilles injuries”. Perhaps Manangoi and Amos were doing the same workouts - presumably the same killer preparatory workouts usually done in April/May that really put the body on edge, their coaches just forgot its September and those workouts are basically meaningless now. Hmm. Bummer.
Then again it’s entirely plausible that on the flight to Doha (what maybe 5-6 hours from Central Europe) that ones Achilles may get catastrophically injured in the act of getting up to take a piss.
Then again Nijel Amos is known for this right? After he ran 1.41 earlier this year he didn’t warm up properly for his next race and went out and did a hammy after 90 meters in his very next race.
I mean all in all if people really buy this bullsh$t (and Manangoi) then great - must be fantastic to be so blissfully ignorant.
Some people are so clueless. Anytime someone withdraws for a world championship or olympic games, it usually means they are pissing hot and have to pull out.

Tatyana Kazankina retired when she was cornered by a P.E.D. test. Who else?
Could have been that last race going out in 48 sec through the 400m and setting the unofficial 700m WR

Agreed. Doping doesn't exist in our sport and never has.

Lol!
He's been flopping all season. Why is he 'overwhelming favourite'. Because he wins his heat over a guy who served as his pacemaker? By that reasoning Elliot Giles is the favorite for dusting TWO of the medal contenders in his heat. McBride is overwhelming favorite and the other medals are pretty much up for grabs for anyone who makes the final.
The number of cooperative officials must be shrinking. He's not as well connected as most of the Kenyans and Epopians.
Korir is the overwhelming favourite in the same fashion as Obiri was in the women´s 10,000m!
Who will our Kenyan oracle consider the overwhelming favourite in the men´s 5000m?
From his point of view there is possibly only 2 choices?

McBride.
Arop.
Rotich.

Basically every black runner going through into semis is prone to open in 49.
