She runs a counseling service as her day job, cheats at marathons on the weekends, and sees her therapist afterwards to help her issue apologies....Is her story believable?

“...while I’m not fat, I’m not as thin as people expect runners to be...”

I don't buy her excuses. I would imagine that if you can successfully and secretly cheat a race you planned it out ahead of time rather than spontaneously deciding to cheat in the middle of the race because of anxiety.
Also, her statement, "I’ve chosen to come clean about it because the truth eventually catches up to you," is really off-putting to me. She is basically saying that she is only admitting to cheating because she was caught on numerous occasions.
What a silly way to sabotage your life, career, and credibility.

That thing underneath her arm can't be unseen.
So much delusion going on...all of it deliberate. She is a dishonest person. She doesn't think the rules apply to her, because in her mind, she makes up all these excuses for being "special".
Its probably incurable. Its quite likely that most of her excuses are made up too. Had a neighbour like that once, outwardly in the beginning, she was a respectable woman but she kept getting in trouble - drunk driving offences, petty theft, minor drugs offences, etc. Always a good excuse for it.
Is this somewhere on the sociopathic/anti-social spectrum?
This is absolutely the correct way to handle a cheater. WHY made it public so other races would know.
This is also the correct way to handle being outed as a cheater. She fessed up and this will fade into nothingness.
Kudos to all.

Actually Derek won’t be happy until she kills herself.
It will be interesting to see how long he rides her.

He better strap himself on if he wants to ride that. She is a big girl with lots of waves.

I think he’s called Doubler because his favorite food is a double helping of any and everything.
I think he’s more than robust enough to handle the mass that involves. I doubt that he has the stamina for it, but he spends a lot of time crawling across a marathon course. So maybe he can handle it.
Well, it would fade away if she stopped racing... her paces for various checkpoints at Chicago went like this: 8:15, 13:18, 7:12, 10:19, 9:57, 12;16, 6:13, 9:27, 6:10, 9:56. On one of the flattest, most consistent courses in the world. This woman must be stopped. Sure she “only” ran 3:59 for her final time, but we give bans for much more subtle ways of cheating than cutting the course multiple times...
Wtf. No way this lady ran even sub 4. I'm definitely reporting these suspicious splits.

Her 2019 Chicago Marathon splits looks like she is still cheating in exactly in the same as in the past she "confessed" to in the MI article when caught. The Marathon Fotos should provide confirmation.
Perhaps a better solution is to let her register and pay to run but just DQ her automatically. Might as well take her money.
MI article on her Chicago "Marathon" is up. Love that she has an A corral bib too. She presumably submitted her Eugene time.

This is the lie that disgusts me the most.
Perhaps Jamin could make an honest woman out of her?
I guess Derek is still hoping to get more blood on his hands.
Stalking crazy crazy chicks is a strange hobby.
Next week he’ll probably post a rehashes expose on Regan.

Nope. He's gone soft. No scouring for pictures, no daily write-ups, no harassing calls, no contacting media outlets.
He's changed his ways since his involvement in the Meza tragedy.
