Probably one of the best workout Wednesday's. Not because the workout was supposed to be super impressive, but because coach Brian Diglio really knows his stuff which sadly can't be said for most HS coaches out there.
4 x Mile @Threshold - goal 5:40, she did 5:35/5:32/5:29/5:25, 90s rest - 400 in 72, 200 in 34
After needing to take 1 complete month off in the summer which was a new experience for Tuohy and her coach, many of us were worried about her shape coming back. Even the last 5:25 mile was still well under control and at threshold, so seems like they did a great job getting her back where she was. Coach made sure that all girls and different groups stay at threshold, made the purpose of the workout clear and follows it up with a 2 mile TT on Friday (hard workout for Tuohy instead of TT).
Tuohy will focus on getting the team to nats this year rather than her individual performances, which I think is a great way to conclude a successful HS career.
