Were people this bitchass hundreds or thousands of years ago when the weather changed? Or when lightening struck. Or when the wind blew. Or when it rained or snowed. Or when the sun rose.

Do you expect anyone to take you seriously when you mock their beliefs? Do you even know how to interpret the Bible? I will pray for your soul. Its plight is much worse than that of our environment.
Sorry Steve, you can start a religion thread if you want, but I find people who 'believe in some eternal nirvana', over what they are doing right now, as both stupid and lazy.
The best argument against people not going to heaven, is why would one want to spend eternity with the same nutters (as can be evidenced from the inputs here) and people who do not care about what they are actually doing now?
Instead of being lazy, not using the mind (your God has given you) and 'taking a bet each way, what have I got to lose' attitude- "If heaven exists, I will be there; if it doesn't we are all dead anyway"....
....instead, spend your time on this piece of heaven we have right here and now, look after it so that you hand it down to your descendants in better shape, they will thank you for it. Volunteer, give to charity, work on improving humanity without expecting anything in return.
Stop screwing up our heaven just because you think you are going to get one after you die.
It is entirely appropriate that discussion of a scientific question has descended to a debate over religion.

Man has long driven other creatures to extinction, caused erosion, polluted the environment, choked the air and even punched holes in the atmosphere, by depleting the ozone layer. 7.8 billion human beings can cause a lot of damage. "Man-made climate change" - no way!
Unless "climate change" means something different then it did last week then this shouldn't be a thread. Not believing man-made climate change is like thinking Hitler is still alive or that the Earth is flat it's just plain incorrect. There's far to much proof for it to be an opinion anymore.

No one's attempting to change your mind. You merely serve as a case demonstration of denial at work.
