Stony Brook?!
stony brook has been on the ups for a couple of years now. Looks like they graduated a lot of their depth but this team should be competitive with the better ivys and army based on track times. I don't think any of those teams can get past iona for second in the northeast, but army, stony brook and harvard may have picked up some points here with wins over Washington, Arkansas, Navy.
track times for stony brook last year outdoors:
800
Coulter, Luke SO-2 1:50.24
1500
Becker, Robert FR-1 3:49.78
5000
Moffett, Vann JR-3 14:07.32
Avery, Cameron JR-3 14:09.89
Watts, Michael SR-4 14:10.33
Vinolas, Kevin SR-4 14:21.89
Connelly, Daniel SR-4 14:25.60
Steeple
Sorouri, Darian SR-4 9:07.05
Santos, Carlos FR-1 9:11.90
More impressed by Stony Brook. Syracuse seemed kinda meh and my prediction will fail to get top2 at regi9nals.. I just see this team being inconsistent.
You can stick a fork in Washington . It’s becoming clearer why Oregon got rid of the Powells.
Big ups to Army! Strong 1-4 there, if they can get that fifth guy closer though

UW didn't run Sam Tanner, Joe Wascom, Slenning or Tibs.
Syracuse ran a nice race; just doesn't mean much come November.
Re: why UW would make the trip with an incomplete squad... they still racked up a few W's vs teams that could qualify. Useful with the current qual system and tough region.
What kind of budget does UW xc have these days. A 3 week trip to CO followed by a B team effort in Boston? That's a ton of cash to not go all out. UW will never get sprinters again if they are wasting this kind of dough on xc. No one watches xc and distance runners dont win team conf and national titles. UW will be going right back to 8th or 9th place in Pac 12. Book it!

This needs to be posted everywhere for every college team that has excuses, not singling out UW- just really liked this comment.

Washington's B team, you mean
Excuses for losing you mean? To scared to race you mean?
If Labron doesn’t play & his team Lise’s it is still a loss. Time to do away with the i didn’t really lose because out top guys are scared to race.”
Why fly out there to race a B team that won’t see the course come nationals? Typical coaches scared to compete.
According to the national coach's poll, they were resting a lot of their top guys. Says a lot about the program's wealth.
