My high school team is having their best season in a very long time. Fantastic coach has been doing a tremendous job.
My college team is significantly worse. Bad coaching, recruiting, apathy all around. Sad!

Both high school and college teams are doing better. High school team is significantly better - we didn’t even have enough girls to field a full team when I was in high school. Not sure what this says about me that both teams are better now, but I graduated college in 1994 so my high school and college days are way behind me!
My high school team was awful when I was there. I was a 2:10 800m guy and was on our 4X800 A team. We thought it was awesome if we sent 3 people to states.
Over the past 5 years, my old team has won two state championships and finished second in another, and consistently put together 4X800s in the 7:30s and 7:40s.
Definitely happy to see the turnaround.
Yeah, my high school is doing okay, but I'm still a legend there decades later.
And, CU.
high school team is doing ok... coach is awful but he's got some talented runners.
My high school team is still a sprint powerhouse, but they don't even try in the distance events, cross country is gone due to lack of interest
My college team was a Title IX/budget casualty, no longer exists.
I have no idea about my high school. Havent known for years.
For college, we just hired Vin, so im prestatu psyched about that.
No, I am not happy with the current state of my former college team. After my generation left, they got super lame. Now they have a weekly team bible study going on and apparently people are being talked down to if they don't attend. There was no religious bs going on back when I was on that team.
Running-wise they stayed about the same. It's a relatively non-competitive D1 team. They had some pretty talented kids and could have been really good as team by now, but the good ones all transferred. I can't really blame them, I probably would have transferred, too, if people would have tried to force their religion on me.
School name?

I'd like to stay anonymous. It's a school in KY. That's all I'm gonna say.
High school XC- worse/same
High school track- significantly better
College XC/TF- worse
Both are better!
High school - has been competitive on the national stage a couple times since I've graduated
College - team is about the same, middle of the pack conference team. Though the conference has improved and we've improved with it. A young and promising squad right now who could do something in two years. Team doesn't drink or party as much as they did my year.
Outside of parents I'm probably the only person in the world that follows my D1 college xc team, my old coach is still there, and while he is a great guy, his training just doesn't keep up with the other D1 teams around us. Most of the team only runs 40 to 60 miles per week. It is a sprint school so all of the scholarships go to the sprinters so the distance team is left with walk ons. So they have hardly any talent and are running low mileage. What do they expect to happen with this formula? I wish that my coach would take a chance and at least have the guys try to run more miles. So frustrating to watch the team get beat by no name U every race. To my coaches credit he hardly gets paid anything and brings in a lot of "good kids" personality wise. But I am confident that a good coach could get the same team to perform much better than they have over the last 5 years.
My high school team is beyond bad. They were bad before I came and have been horrendous ever since. The college team is better. We had a team good enough to make nationals but never executed on the day and always missed it by a couple points. Now they have a good transfer that's been carrying them the last two years. After he leaves it might not be very good. It helps to have a top 10 point scorer when the rest of the team is average.
College, about level but more consistent than we were. I don't think the current team is as talented overall but better coached.
High school where I coached for a number of years. Overall worse now. Team is like how it was before I came on. Coach is a low mileage high quality follower, tapers for all the meets so no one has a decent base.

Can you people at least mention what conference your college competes in.
My High School got closed in 1986 so it's a mute question.
College team is a D1 national title contender and better now then when I was running for them.
Wonder how Arkansas Alums are doing?
Well here's one that did pretty well.
no so good. Northwestern discontinued the men's program.
