Did I miss something, or did Kejelcha not get selected by the Ethiopian federation for worlds in anything?

10,000m?
Don't worry, he'll be running a 3:45 indoor mile world record in four months time and everybody here will be saying he's clear favorite for Tokyo golds at 1500 and 5000 (for a few weeks until the outdoor season).

Remember when you said Jakob will set world records from 800m - half marathon? You have no room to make fun of anybody.
On the provisional entries. he's listed for 10k and not 5k. Figured that would happen so not surprised.
Well, he might well be running 3:45. A 1+ second drop is hardly out of the question. He was injured before the last 5000m, accounting for his struggles. However, I would recommend that Salazar not have him running 3:45 indoors, because the only things that really count next year are the Euro Circuit and Olympics.

+1

I didn’t realize Daniel MF Komen ran 7:24.9 for 3,000m indoors. That might be a stretch for post-Tokyo...
He's in the 10k.
Impressive he can go from 1500 - 10k
and compete at the world level in all of these events.
That never seemed to happen during the early/mid 2000's.
He's kind of like Aouita in that way.
Kejelcha sought redemption from two previous failed pursuits of El Guerrouj records earlier in the season, and with the help of consistent splits he got it and then some; not only did his time crush the indoor world record.
Jakob ran a 3:30...Twice!! What did Kejelcha do?
Also, you said many more fascinating things that have not even been close..
-Korir will set 800 WR imminently
-Brazier will set 800 WR imminently
-Cheserek will become American and break all US records 1500-marathon
-Knight will dominate north American distance running
-Benjamin will set the 400H WR this summer for sure
-Holloway will easily set the 100H WR this summer
Should I go on?
What a fool you have made of yourself!

Is it any worse than picking Alexander Yee for an gold in Tokyo?
