Yale beat Harvard in the dual meet. Was it not Harvard’s ‘a’ team?
Remind me on the podcast, Robert said he would look it up if it was Harvard’s full team.
The Penn women look really strong. Ranked 28th nationally and 3rd in the Mid-Atlantic region during preseason, they return a core of strong women including NCAA 800m runner up Nia Akins and 10k regional qualifier and cross specialist Isabel Hebner. Definitely look for them to get 5th or 6th.

I don't think it was Harvard's A team as they were missing Hugo Milner and Will Battershill at HY.
I'm surprised Judy Pendergast is running as Harvard's #5 these last 2 weeks. I guess taking the year off last year due to transferring back from Oregon impacted her fitness a bit? Granted, it looks like Anna Juul (more of an 800/1500 runner) is in much better XC fitness this season.
Battle in Beantown will have a number of Ivies today - Brown, Dartmouth, Harvard, and Penn. Race is at 3pm.

Iona Meet of Champions was this morning (wow, done already) and it featured Cornell and Columbia. Men ran 5 miles, women ran 5k. The forum won't let me copy/paste the results so here is the link. In short, Columbia & Cornell went 1-2 in the women's team race with Columbia's Katie Wasserman getting the individual win in 17:43.9, while the Columbia men finished 4th and Cornell men finished 9th.
Yale is running next on 9/27 (Panorama Farms Invite). Princeton men off until October (Paul Short). Princeton women running at Monmouth tomorrow.
Here are the results from IONA that were being picked up by spam

I had a dream last night I was running the Heps XC. No joke.
Robert was in it too. Pretty sure he was on Princeton, and I was Yale.
I took the lead and we were kind of showboating. Next I remember was I was running through through a house and I got lost and off course. I wasn't sure what room to go in and started yelling at the course officials/people in the house.
If only my problems at Heps cross country had been because the course wasn't properly marked.
And I see Heps are at Van Cortlandt this year. That means I should be there. If Yale ever wins this thing I want them winning at Van Cortlandt on a Friday.
Funny dream.
They've never done an alumni race at HepsXC, right? I remember there being an alumni mile race at iHeps at Harvard a few years ago but it has yet to be replicated since then.

I don't think Akins will run XC. She raced a lot this summer (got 2nd in 800m at PanAm U20, and then a few 1500m training races prior to that). More than likely, she'll "rest' until the indoor season where they'll try to go for the 800m NCAA title while defending their Heps team titles. I know she's done HepsXC and XC Regionals in the past.
Hebner transferred to Texas.
Is Heps like Genius Baby Nats?

I could be wrong but I thought Heps XC had an alumni race for years.

I have no idea - I never did XC and I only started to follow it in 2010. I'd trust your recollections of the meet over what I may know.
