If his pull out is drugs related then it's likely something to do with the Kenyan doping authorities and/or the requirement to be tested three times before Doha which has cost the 5K guys their places.

I have sprained my ankles many many times and every single time I was back to normal within a few days. This idea of a ankle sprain keeping you from competing in 2 weeks times is very suspicious. I sprained my ankle and was unable to run for 3 months... What kind of ankle sprain did you have? A pretend one? A decent sprained ankle takes 4-6 weeks my friend.

The new state-of-the-art WADA-accredited lab in Nairobi (PLK - Lancet) went online last fall. As a result there were 4 ABP provisional suspensions in just a few short months this year (Kiptum, Rutto, Chepkirui & Chepchirchir). Unprecedented since Kenya has never had a single ABP suspension in any of the years prior. PLK also does testing for Ethiopia, Uganda & Tanzania.

Ok so it's better than I thought. There is now a multinational independent laboratory operating in Kenya called Lancet Laboratories who have been accredited by WADA to perform drug testing for them.

So why would an independent company risk losing their licence, future earnings and credibility in the medical field by hiding positive tests from WADA? Because of the great great star that is Elijah Manangoi? Lol.

Drug testing isn't even their primary job they are a medical lab who has branched out.

I think you're right - if PLK Lancet had anything on Manangoi they would come right out with it. Wrt the several Kenyan provisional suspensions for doping positives & ABP violations lately, they've disclose right away to the AIU right (and some of these have been top performing Kenyans). In fact, AIU will post the provisional suspension on their site before the mainstream media gets word.

you forget its super classic for sprinters to have some phantom "hamstring" twinge...then a few weeks or month later they go home devastated.

first one i remember was gatlin claiming he had a strain or whatever, and then a month later it comes out he got busted for the "clear"

it would be interesting to know the entities that busted the kenyans....like who got kiprop? and why did it take like 4 months for it to be known, when other busts seem to come straight to the for front within 24hrs...like you notice this and its not just kenyans, its american sprinters...

I sprained my ankle so badly that it was floppy and needed tape to stop me from walking on the side of my foot. I was able to run on it the next day and able to race perfectly well the following weekend.

Sure it took several weeks to be 100% but being able to train through an ankle sprain is very easy and in fact better for complete healing.

Sounds like you were the p*ssy for complaining about it in the first place. If you ran on a sprained ankle the next day you didn't sprain it.
